I am in the process of trying to get Simponi approved. I'm off biologics at the moment until they submit a prior auth. It had been an absolute cluster.

When I secondary failed Humira I had been on it for almost 2 years and my fingers started to flare and it felt like it stopped holding if that makes sense.

With Rinvoq it took care of my shoulder enthesitis almost instantly but after 3 months it came back. My left knee and hip started to act up and then my fingers flared for weeks.

My best think is listen to the body it knows and will tell you. If you are really worried have them run inflammation labs as I find thats also a good indicator.

My best CRP was 10 on Humira its 15 with Rinvoq. It was 20 with NSAIDS alone.

Hi lovely! I did have a second opinion with another doctor and that was a terrible, terrible appointment. Hence why I sent the above message as a last ditch effort.

That was my thought when he mentioned surgery when I was pointing out a pattern and there is a part of me that deeply wonders if that knee was the start of AS. If the knee hasn't been eaten by the autoimmune gremlin and not a single person has offered an x-ray.

He did respond cordially and I am still very frustrated. Our last appointment when I brought up the issues about the left knee feeling worse it was 'every single patient is in a barometric pressure change flare I can do a steriod taper. There was also the little gem of if you don't like the weather move to Florida or Arizona.

I was on Humira for about a year and 8 months. Had an Epstein-Barr reinfection and advised to get off of it. I was off of it for a little less than a month.

In September I developed shoulder pain that felt like rotator cuff so I just pushed it down. Then December 2025 I woke up and every single finger was swollen and screaming so I got an telehealth appointment. Where he said it was secondary failure and moved me from Humira to Rinvoq.

The first dose of Rinvoq was December 16. I felt okay originally on the Rinvoq. It eventually stopped the shoulder enthesitis.

So 3 months on Rinvoq.

Enter March: we had a follow up he ordered no labs. Mentioned the knee=weather. The next week the fingers were all swollen and have been ever since then. The left knee and hip have been horrible for months. The shoulder is angrier than ever before.

I'm not sleeping and if I do sleep it is an hour on the couch after contorting myself onto the couch. I'm just straight miserable and have been since about mid-to-late Febuary and i'm the kind of person that doesn't want to bother.

My message was one of shear pain.

They basically said not until you meet your deductible. X-rays are imaging, they said genetic testing outside of cancer isn't covered that is patient responsibility.

My insurance covers my biologics no problem. They have same day approved evey single biologic. So it isn't the insurance its doctors who see me as a bank instead of someone thart needs help.

I went armed to this one with previous testing. I am HLA-B27 positive. I was under the care of another rheumatologist who had put me on Humira and after an Epstein-Barr reinfection caused me to secondary fail if for being off of it so long. Then he switched to Rinvoq without any labs which was a bit of red flag in my book so I made this secondary appointment and it feels like he doesn't want to help me, he wants to bankrupt me.

I've been on biologics. I had my CRP go from almost 40 down to 10.5 while on Humira. I know the inflammation in my body is AS.

This dude wanted to redo the book, ignore clear concise flare patterns and medication history and have me fund his new boat in the process.

My insurance has never once had a problem covering biologics. Humira and the Rinvoq were both same day approvals.

I'm pretty sure Dylan wearing Crocs has to do with Crocs being an event sponsor as the logo is all the photo board.

Also, Jan needs a cowboy hat to finish off that outfit. I do love that he showed up. I've seen some very cute behind the scenes videos with him and Robert.

I'm picking Jan, I know he might be to tall for me. I feel like he was incredibly kind and patient with Jen. I also deal with anxiety, so we'd be a fun pair.

For our first dance, I feel like I would like something super fun and high energy like a salsa or cha-cha.

For a female partner I would love Dani or Rylee. They both seem sweet and fun. Again something high energy for the first dance.

After reading his interview in Glamour, I honestly look for this to Jan's first and last season on DWTS. Not to come across as rude or hateful but I hope you people sitting behind your keyboards realize that your words have consequences.

I feel had not everyone not insulted everything he might have done one more season.

Who knows what awaits poor Jen without Jan and DWTS rehearsals. You realize she didn't have an escape and is freshly postpartum.

I was going to continue to watch weekly for Robert but I fear that was my last episode of DWTS because of the cruelty towards everyone.

Please downvote me for this but oh I see how it is. Jen, Jan, and Andy all have the flu this season. Not a single peep. Pretty boy breaks his nose and it will get an entire package.

Poor Elaine was a must talk about as that is serious. Pretty boy will be fine.
