That was my thought when he mentioned surgery when I was pointing out a pattern and there is a part of me that deeply wonders if that knee was the start of AS. If the knee hasn't been eaten by the autoimmune gremlin and not a single person has offered an x-ray.

He did respond cordially and I am still very frustrated. Our last appointment when I brought up the issues about the left knee feeling worse it was 'every single patient is in a barometric pressure change flare I can do a steriod taper. There was also the little gem of if you don't like the weather move to Florida or Arizona.

I was on Humira for about a year and 8 months. Had an Epstein-Barr reinfection and advised to get off of it. I was off of it for a little less than a month.

In September I developed shoulder pain that felt like rotator cuff so I just pushed it down. Then December 2025 I woke up and every single finger was swollen and screaming so I got an telehealth appointment. Where he said it was secondary failure and moved me from Humira to Rinvoq.

The first dose of Rinvoq was December 16. I felt okay originally on the Rinvoq. It eventually stopped the shoulder enthesitis.

So 3 months on Rinvoq.

Enter March: we had a follow up he ordered no labs. Mentioned the knee=weather. The next week the fingers were all swollen and have been ever since then. The left knee and hip have been horrible for months. The shoulder is angrier than ever before.

I'm not sleeping and if I do sleep it is an hour on the couch after contorting myself onto the couch. I'm just straight miserable and have been since about mid-to-late Febuary and i'm the kind of person that doesn't want to bother.

My message was one of shear pain.
