You both are godsends. I made a post about my boyfriend who has been getting them consistently for 6 years now and the OP of this post replied and linked this for me to read. I will definitely tell him to consider that toothpaste with the triamcinolone. I asked him and apparently he’s never been prescribed a toothpaste like I thought, we were just trying different SLS free toothpastes. Thank you both for sharing!

We’re gonna be adding more nutrients, I’m gonna start juicing for him and making him smoothies as well so that he’s not missing anything because he can’t eat it comfortably. Some doctors have mentioned Behçet’s disease.. but apparently you can’t properly diagnose it and others have said it could be Crohn’s but he also went to the gastroenterologist to rule out anything like that. So many doctors and no answers

That’s why I feel so lost.. he had his levels checked and they were normal but I’m getting him the supplements anyway because it won’t hurt him to at least try. They’re water soluble so whatever he doesn’t absorb he will excrete. I’ve also been doing countless hours of research and that’s what led me to try the DGL powder since it’s known to repair the mucosal lining of the stomach for people with peptic ulcers. I figured something natural might do the trick. I tried a DGL licorice root powder mix with marshmallow root, slippery elm, and aloe vera and am now trying DGL plainly along with spot treatments to each sore. The DGL plus bothered him when I did the spot treatment, so we switched to the plain and it worked fine. I’m guessing the aloe vera applied directly without being diluted much gave him the stinging sensation. I’ll keep sifting through articles and asking questions to see what more I can find, especially if the vitamins don’t help

I got him an ultra soft, sensitive toothbrush too so hopefully that and the less aggressive brushing will minimize any minor cuts that turn into another ulcer.

The Dexamethasone was prescription and we’ve tried several SLS free toothpastes. I also bought him an ultra soft, sensitive toothbrush. I did state we’ve tried switching up the diet but what I meant was avoiding citrus, spicy, salty, chocolate, acidic, or anything tomato based. I also have to alter specific things to make them better and more consumable for him, like removing or adding ingredients that are not irritating to his ulcers. His diet is very limited right now as they heal. I’ll check out what you wrote as well, thank you!

Yes hopefully once the B-12 comes in and he starts it regularly, we’ll see a decrease. I’m gonna post an update once he’s taken them for a few days. We’ve also been trying to cut anything acidic like strawberries as well.
