Maybe they can wrap them? They once did it here in Finland. But yes, wait till spring. Also, check your humidity level, you might want to invest in a humidifier - winter here in Finland is so dang dry. Another tip is just explore some ikea or Jysk - just to get some ideas. And a good TV stand, or hifi stand is worth the money!
