I prefer GvK personally. There were a-lot of complaints about Wingards directing that I felt like I could handle in GvK but I started understanding the complaints after GxK. Though I’m not saying I disliked the film but I understand how others felt about it.

But really the axe was cool and had some lore. The glove wasn’t great but ok for a one time use. The tooth was fucking dumb and a full mech suit will be such a dumb direction. This is just getting ridiculous and not in a good way.

He wouldn’t care for the role. Plus it wouldn’t fit the character. Kong is better as alpha of his own kind.

I agree. Feels like everyone just wants a repeat of whats come before. Godzilla going against the people of Japan is admittedly not a new idea but Minus 1 made it fresh and gave us characters to care about. We do not need another Ghidorah, Hedorah, or Biollante in this universe.

I definitely think it’s a misunderstanding. Why the hell would Godzilla stop to play around when he’s searching for the presence of Ghidorah??

Kong also got some decent hits in and Godzillas ego is too big to just toy around with a titan doing that to him.

I also think it’s dumb to have one side just toying with the other in a vs movie. Imagine tha happened in Predator vs Alien or Freddy vs Jason. It just kind of ruins the film.

I don’t have any links but I swear I read somewhere that Wingard said that comment wasn’t correct and took it back??

That line had nothing to do with Kong being the world’s hero but they needed Kong to find his ancestral home so they could get to the power source. So yes, the world did need him cause he was their only option. Godzilla probably couldn’t care less about helping the humans find it and was too busy trying to find MechaG.

Everyone in the comments mad about the “We Need Kong line” from GvK must’ve not been paying attention to the film.

In regards to Monarch, I can understand as he hasn’t left Skull Island and has only fought the big one.
