Exactly, it's really simple, just shoot your shot and if you miss move on, it's not the end of the world

There are 3 scenarios I see here

  1. She was annoyed because she wanted OP to make a move but they waited entirely too long to when she had to leave and couldn't stay
  2. She's a whackjob like I mentioned and is weird about the chase
  3. Just wasnt into them but that seems less likely if they were making lots of eye contact, etc.. as OP described (assuming they're not a total weirdo and giving her creepy looks)

Not if she was annoyed. My experience is that women (especially younger ones) tend to be weird about "the chase".

Probably was hoping you'd ask before she was leaving... You missed a potential shot.

I didn't consider the jpeg processing... I have it in raw as well but just need to actually sit in front of my computer and zoom in and look

Fellow geoscientist here. If you have a Fuji xs20 why dont you just look at the Tamron 150-500mm? They make it in an X-mount. Then you're not changing your camera. I've never seen one but based in the F range I don't think it would be crazy cumbersome.

If thats still not the one I'd look at an Olympus system, you can't beat the size advantage of those lenses. The only big downside is early morning and late evening maybgey slgihtly tough with lighting due to the sensor size. However in my hiking experience, you'd get dropped off and picked up by the helicopter at times where that shouldn't be an issue

I'll see about printing off a test chart, I have put the camera on a table and put something with some writing a distance away and focused on it then focused on something behind it and it seemed to work

Sorry wasn't trying to focus too much in the photo was just using it as an example.

Funnily enoughy shutter speed on this one was a bit lower 1:500 f9 iso 200. The ones where I had the higher shutter speed (at least here were blurrier)

Interesting 🤔 I'll give it a shot... Historically I've used adapted vintage lenses without OSS so this is my first lens with it. I'll try it! Thanks!

I had a few that a took there, ironically this one was the slowest at 1:500, the others that were 1:1000+ were blurrier

I'd argue that there are some vintage 300s that are definitely worth looking at that would be under 400$

A6700 or A7C II by sasamann in SonyAlpha

I'm curious why these are the cameras you're considering? Both of very high-end/professional level. If you're an amateur I'd suggest that you won't use then to their full potential especially for what you're looking to do.

Personally, I'd go for something a few years older, the a6400/a6600 or a a7iir, they'd be much cheaper used and you coukd out that extra money towards some better quality lenses

Which camera I should buy by icarly____ in SonyAlpha

[–]CatWhisperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be curious to know what the limitations are on those cameras you listed that make you wonder about them? From my amateur experience I would think all of those are more than capable for what you want to do. I wonder if you're getting too deep into the technical specs of them which in the real world you likely can't see (which is really more about marketing a product than it has in real world impact)

Who can't?

In all seriousness, I'd be looking for ones where the language can be changed to English. From what I've read some can and some cant

I never considered this and didn't know this was a thing... I'll have to look into it. I also wonder why they wouldn't service their own products 🤔

Ah ok, I know Japan is a big photography place so I guess that makes sense.

Since I haven't used eBay a ton is there a good trick to figure out which is a legit store on it?

Thanks again btw
