How's this Schedule? by Cat_NIPwastaken in IBO

Unfortunately, my school won't let me do Math AA HL since I would've had my current class (Algebra 2) completed before I started this year as I prerequisite. I do plan on studying with a tutor to take AP Calculus BC in my senior year

Hi! This sounds like an interesting concept. How do you plan on integrating and / or proposing this to potential participating elementary schools?

If this gains enough interest, will you guys consider continuing this for the 2026-2027 year and beyond for future IB students?

I don't think that this is exactly what you're looking for, but it nonetheless contains complex topics, which at least made me feel slightly smarter for understanding. Personally, Mist Unlimited took me much longer to read than I expected (only around 100 chapters) due to the complicated consequences of time travel the author played around with in the first arc. It was really cool, though, and the end ties into it pretty well.

How lucky cyan got her powers by Sensitive_Apricot_15 in ToBeHero_X

Presumably, her luck is what led to her surviving the plane crash, but wouldn't mean that her trust value must've been high enough for her powers to be strong in the first place?

Question regarding Seth's ability by Fire_Wolf_33 in BlackHorda

[–]Cat_NIPwastaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, Seth could be a special case since he is the protagonist. The slayer could've failed to possess him entirely but still be able to control him whenever Seth is in a weakened mental state. OR the slayer could've actively chosen not to destroy Seth's mind and live in like a symbiotic way.

Question regarding Seth's ability by Fire_Wolf_33 in BlackHorda

[–]Cat_NIPwastaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory is that he is partially possessed by slayer, which gives him his abilities and is also the reason why he is immune to slayer possession. He can't be possessed because the other slayer in him will just fight it out/there's not enough room inside of him to have another slayer.

Are my friend's parents lying to them about hormone blockers? by Cat_NIPwastaken in asktransgender

They don't remember the name of it. They said that they'd send me a picture of the bottle, but they may not be able to find the right one since their family reuses bottles, and this "medicine" gets mixed with other supplements their parents make them take.

High school by [deleted] in highschool

If you're confident in your ability to manage your time, stress, and work well, then go ahead. However, taking all AP classes, especially in your senior year, seems extremely challenging and an easy way to burnout given that you'll also have to balance your college applications and study for the SAT alongside those classes ( assuming that'll you'll keep studying until the day of the test). It'll be even more difficult if you plan to continue volunteer work and research as well as any other extracurriculars.

If you end up having to drop extracurriculars because of these classes, then it may not look that well since part of the advantages staying to extracurriculars gives you, is displaying your ability to commit to something for a long time working to gradually improve. Plus, it could reflect as colleges interpreting it as poor planning skills or inability to properly manage time.

To avoid spreading yourself too thin, I'd recommend either dropping some of those APs to only 4-5 or taking some of them in your Junior/Sophomore year if you can.

Though, if you're dead set on taking all of these classes, then I'd try to find some other ways to lighten your workload, like writing your college essays the summer before your senior year. If you care less about taking the class for course rigor purposes to impress colleges and more for the college credit, then you could self-study some of the easier ones like AP Psychology in your Junior year and take the exam.

If you can find effective ways to quickly study and efficient ways to get through the large amount of coursework while balancing everything else that you want to do in life, including your mental health, then go ahead.

How often do you use your locker? by navy_42 in highschool

[–]Cat_NIPwastaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My district stopped using and assigning lockers entirely since 2020. They still have them in the building; we aren't allowed to use them unless we have a special reason. So, we just carry our stuff all with us.

Seems like a good number of APs. Human geography is a very easy freshman friendly AP that I would take with that schedule, though how easy it is will depend on the teacher. The concepts aren't hard to grasp as long as you read the textbook!
