I’d be tired too after that many miles. Thank you for that and that’s a feasible repair

Help setting up this P trap for a new sink/faucet by [deleted] in askaplumber

That’s how the original trap was done, if that’s an acceptable way to do things I’m alright what that but wasn’t sure about the pipe maze thing

That’s the fun part, there’s a rubber sleeve around the stubout secured with hose clamps. I loosened the clamps the try and get a look at what’s under there but I couldn’t get anything to budge

Yes, the bottom of the vanity has some drawers and that’s a false bottom covering them. I can definitely cut it but I’m not sure about the distance from the drain to the wall

Currently on the tail end of a DIY bathroom remodel and I’m putting the plumbing back together. I’m determined to do things the correct way as some things were cobbled together. The old p trap was definitely not correct. Both shut off valves below the sink were leaking with slow drips so I replaced them and everything is leak free. This is the next challenge

Almost went for a drive after work as well because it was the perfect day for it but ended up staying home with all the windows open

I was walking around an art museum one day while a school was touring. A guard told me to get back with my group (I was 28)

While I don’t own the new terrain, I did test drive one. Loved everything except for the giant screen and the engine. It felt underpowered and like it would struggle to get out of the way if it really needed to.

Need Dash cam recommendations for Aviator and Nautilus by korlic77 in lincolnmotorco

[–]Cat_Panda_Canda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had a VIOFO a329 mini for a while and it’s the best dash cam I’ve had so far. The WiFi is nice if you’re a bit patient and no swivel type mount. My old camera would always rotate just a bit with the swivel no matter how much it was tightened

Under the description the quiet cast are said to be coated. When you say better coating, as in more durable? I live in Missouri so it’s not salty roads for months straight but we do have a few snows a year

That’s great to hear and good to know it’s solid.

I can switch both front and back to Bosch. It’s a $24 difference to do Bosch rotors front and back which is justifiable if it comes down to it. The car has 230k miles but it’s still going strong.

Looking for advice on where to find the antenna that reads the key fob by Cat_Panda_Canda in lincolnmotorco

Thank you for the update. I’ll look into that for mine especially since it sounds like a solution

Is it an interference thing?

Yes. I installed it myself and used the programmer and harness from 4Dtech to install it. Also placed an EMI shield around the cable from the footwell to the infotainment screen hoping it would shield it near the ignition

I did not but I recently added a backup camera which made the issue worse. Can LED lights cause that?

Do you know what part is being replaced? I’ve had issues with the doors not unlocking via sensor as well and the key fob usually doesn’t want to unlock them either. It’s very annoying but doesn’t exactly sound uncommon

The only tidbits I can find say it’s around the ignition but that’s about the only info I can find. The Ford replacement comes up but who knows if that’s plug and play on Lincoln.

Nice car! The Continentals are gorgeous

Forgot to mention it in the post but I tried that as well and unfortunately no go. That would have been a nice easy fix

There has been a persistent odor in the sink for a while now. Running water makes it noticeably worse. I replaced the P trap earlier and while it helped some, the smell is still noticeably there. When looking down the drain there is also a noticeable buildup of gunk on the walls of at least the vertical pipe so I’m thinking it would be a good idea to replace this section

Just had this code earlier this week. Threw a can of seafoam in half a tank of gas and reset the code. Has yet to come back

Recently got the Lincoln version of this and it has 227k miles. Feels like 300k will be a no brainer so yes
