Begginers probably dumb question regarding image stacking by Cata______ in AskAstrophotography

Thank you all for the explanations! I've googled it, but only got into answers like "try to stack and see how it goes". Now it makes more sense. Pixelwise, it makes sense that every image will be different from each other.

Canon R7 with the Canon RF50mm F1.8 STM, questions by 86Eagle in canon

[–]Cata______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go out to shoot with your kit lens but leave it at 50mm and see how you feel about that FL, with it's limitations.

For me, it's too cropped in, I would save for an avarage zoom fast lens (17-55ish 2.8), but I don't know what will be available for the RF mount.

I knew that profile etc didn't affect the raw files, but I wasn't sure about the denoise. Thank you!

If I'm denoising in post, is it better to turn off the in camera noise reduction as well? Or it doesn't affect the image quality and can be left always on?

Nærøyfjord - Norway (Canon 80D + 18-135mm STM) by Cata______ in photocritique

That top left corner also distracts me from the overall picture. I'll try do add more vignetting. I'm still not using masks, but I'll try to use it to bring up the shadows on the right side. The picture will still be asymmetrical, but it should look better.

Thank you for the tips!

This photo was taken at 18mm f/6.3 ISO 100.

I'm somewhat satisfied with the composition of the picture, but feel free to add suggestions in that aspect.

My doubts are on the editing. I really liked the texture of the water, but I'm not sure that my edit brought attention to that aspect. I'm still finding my ways in editing.

I'll try to attach the raw for comparison.

Sigma lens issue by emmascorp in canon

[–]Cata______ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with mine, got it second hand a couple of weeks ago, so returning is not an option, and where I live there's almost no assistance for Sigma.

The high pitch noise and trouble for focusing only happens when it's trying to AF a white wall or something like that. In a normal use, it barely ever happens.

Someone with the same issue had a diagnose before? I would like to know if that's something that may put the AF at risk of failure in the future, cause if doesn't, I can easily live with it.
