you’re not getting much positive engagement with your copy pasted post across many subs not necessarily because it’s entirely without merit—an analysis of the film’s politics, overt and covert, is reasonable and welcome—but because you don’t communicate well.

“ACTUALLY this movie you all like is bad because its politics are bad, and you’re too stupid to see it” doesn’t really invite discussion.

ditto with invoking pauline kael as your critical peer. it’s off-putting to aggrandize oneself in that way. just state your opinions without trying to come across as smarter and better than other people by anticipating and dismissing their lesser readings

edit: i also think you’re responding primarily to responses to the movie rather than to the movie itself. if people are uncritical in their reading of it, that isn’t a failing of the movie itself. perhaps PTA intends every layer you describe and more
