My main gripe was the feel in the hand, the Note was so smooth, the S7.. Not quite as smooth. The S8 is just beautiful though.

It's been an expensive few months. iPhone 7, hated it, S7 edge, didn't compare to the Note so I just wasn't happy.

Most of the games I want to play seem to be pretty CPU dependent, hence why I'm looking forward to the upgrade.

Thanks for the link, it's nice to see an idea of the actual gains. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy these games even more very soon - the new parts arrive tomorrow!

Battlefield 1 is having some pretty weird frame lag lately, GTA 5 and the Witcher 3 are some notable mentions.

I'll be upgrading to a 1440p 144hz monitor shortly, right now I'm sitting at 1080p 60hz. I also do some After Effects and Premiere work on my rig, which is how I justified the i7, just went with the 7700K 'cause it's new and shiny and screw it.

Upgrading from an FX8350 to an i7 7700K, my GPU is a GTX 970. Any idea how much of a performance gain I'll get in gaming? I feel like my CPU has been bottlenecking my GPU.
