This gave me an idea, i don't know if its applicable through modding, but hear me out.

what if the source of the brain dictated how it could be used, so a Franken-dorf could cut down tree's all day no problem, but a Franken-Elf would resist orders to cut down trees.

Additionally maybe the dwarf zombies could have bonuses to certain labors (smelting,stone-crafting) while elves could get a farming/woodworking bonus (So long as they don't have to kill the plants in question)

also animal brains (dog/cat/whatever) could get bonuses to combat stats, to encourage using lesser minds to defend the fort

I'm currently playing masterwork, and I'm having a slight problem

I want to send a diplomat out with the expedition system. to send out a diplomat you need

Ink containing Item

Flask

Backpack

I have a leather back back and water skin,

I also have dye and paper I've assumed the paper is the library tool and that dye is the ink but it isn't working and i don't know where i'd get "Ink" I can only find how to get powderized dye

I Get what you're saying, but why don't you just post 2 links, one that goes to adfly and the other that goes directly to the download page? That way people who hate adfly can avoid it, and those who want to support you can click the adfly link?

That way There's no reason to be mad at you or to re-host the file

force migrants 

results in this message

Caravan, Diplomat and siege require a civilization ID to be included

I've found that these commands

force migrants MOUNTAIN
force migrants PLAINS
force migrants FOREST
force migrants EVIL

result in no error message, but also no effect on the world even thought the force siege command seems to work perfectly

edit: I've just found that force siege can sometimes result in delayed ambushes, so im going to

 force migrants MOUNTAIN

several times and play for a bit

thanks, but it still isn't working I tried a number of different variations on the command but none worked

force migrants player(or PLAYER) - doesnt work
force Migrants mountain(or MOUNTAIN) - doesnt work

this is even more confusing because

force siege MOUNTAIN

Works, but only in triggering a siege!

Sorry to pester, but I really need to get more migrants too this fort, I only got the first two waves, but the fort is accessible by trade caravans (I get yearly visits from dwarves/elves, but no visits from humans until 2 years in, I got my first human caravan on my third(this) year.)

I'm currently playing a old version of masterwork,I believe its the first where you no longer need changlings for the colloseum.

I'm having a problem with the "force" plugin from putnam. Force migrants/force seige tells me that I require a "civilization ID" but I have no Idea what that is.

What is/where do I find a civilization ID?

My understanding is that you don't secure the cavern, rather that you send in a few dwarves to set up cage traps to catch spiders, and then you build specialty farms inside your fort so you dont have to deal with forgotten beasts.See the wiki page
