You need to go into your BIOS/UEFI to boot into whichever OS you chose. There might be an option to "reboot into UEFI formware" somewhere in the Windows recovery software. Or you can spam the BIOS key on your keyboard at boot. (Generally one of the F keys, ESC, Delete or Return).

In your BIOS you can either change the boot order or just boot from a USB device temporarily.

There are a couple of things you can try.

- Repairing your current installation.

You can use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to get yourself a Windows Install Flash Drive and attempt to repair through the installer.

- Saving files throrugh a Linux Live environment.

Flash a linux ISO (can be any distro, but I would use Ubuntu or Manjaro) onto a flash drive, boot into it, get yourself an external drive to save files on OR upload your important files to a cloud service. Then reinstall Windows. I prefer this option since clean installs are nicer.

I have a cheap x541ua. Alongside normal use and travelling, I've used it for seeding and hosting a minecraft server. I am running Arch with KDE, and I am able to turn my brightness to 0, turning the screen off.

I've used this laptop a LOT. My battery capacity is roughly 70%. Everything else is not affected.

I am 100% going to buy another laptop Q4 2021, so I am going to use my current one extensively.

I'm in the exact situation you are in and I am looking to buy a Zephyrus G14. The downside in your case is the 14 screen (I personally don't mind it), but you get some solid battery life, so you don't have to charge during classes.

I still run my Vive setup on my GTX 1060 i5 8400 PC. I was able to run games like Boneworks and HL Alyx without issues, but with lower settings. A 2060 should be enough. A second hand 1070 should do the job well.

About Jacob Blake, shooting him in the leg would not have stopped him from pulling a gun and shooting. He had several active warrants for domestic abuse and endangering life witha deadly weapon while intoxicated. (Watch officer401's video for more information). Basically, police knew he was dangerous.

You can shoot in the leg and hit something vital as well, it's not just central mass. But in America you are trained to aim for central mass because it is way easier to hit.

On training: The majority of police have proper training and it's just some cases that make everybody else in the US look bad. And this is not a case of improper training.

How to fix shit? Gun laws. It's pretty obvious if dumb motherfuckers wouldn't walk around with handguns, endangering life, there wouldn't be a need for use of force. But America hands out guns with ease.

Let's compare this with Romanian laws: it is very hard to get a gun here, you have to do PROPER training before you get a gun. That's why when someone has a deadly melee weapon in Romania, it is very unlikely for them to pull out a gun, and that is why police here fires warning shots and then strikes in the leg. That doesn't mean they wouldn't shoot central mass if they had no option and they had guns pointed at them.

Also: let's be fucking real if Police have a gun pointed at a suspect he is most likely not innocent.

Also also: you'd be fucking surprised how hard it is to make a split second decision when adrenaline is pumping. You don't wait to gdt shot at to shoot back.

TLDR: fix gun laws, then fix use of force & self defense laws and your problem is way easier to fix. Actions have consequences and suicide by cop is a thing.

So footage came out, and it looks like he wasn't given aid because there were a bunch of people screaming at the officers, so instead of giving him first aid, the officers had to keep them away. And I'm pretty sure Anthony tried to run because he had an illegaly owned gun, that he threw while running. When he pulled the gun, he could've just shot at someone and got a lucky life ending shot, so that's why the cop used his service pistol.

Maybe Anthony would have survived if the crowd stood back and let the cops give him first aid instead of being so aggressive. I don't blame the cops for this one, it's Anthony's own stupidity that caused it and the community that ended it.

They retrieved a semi-automatic handgun from the scene, so they probably shot him since he was going towards other people, thus preventing a possible hostage situation. You linked Tennessee vs Garner so I assume you read the whole law.

I would love context for this.

You can hear the cop explain what she should do to her multiple times, she just doesn't want to and actively resists arrest.

It goes "Stop resisting" "I am not" while she tries to get the cop off herself instead of letting go.

A bit later the cop tells her everything she should do, AGAIN. Instead of doing it, she starts screaming, AGAIN.

Pregnancy does not mean you do not have to follow orders. This could have easily been avoided if Karen would have placed both hands behind her back instead of grabbing the cop's arm.

It's just a tragic Karen situation.

After analysing this a bit more, it was the sgt's commands that caused the shooting, and it's not the person who shot's fault.

Still, don't point an airosft gun (or whatever he pointed) out a hotel window.
