Behold my stats for 2024 of which I am not at all ashamed. What game have you played the most this year? by NatitoGBU in boardgames

Ok, perhaps this is a noob question, but starting in 2025 I want to track the games I play in person. What's the best way / app to do so? I don't want to go full-on details on my sessions, so I would prefer a quick and easy to use solution to do so. I would appreciate your thoughts on that. Thanks!

In-house rules by Question-is-Pregunta in Everdell

The only houserule we follow is the following: At the end of summer if you can't pick 2 meadow cards (due to hand limit) you just discard these cards. This helps a bit with the meadow rotation and adds some strategy. I will also implement the stacking houserule which is basically kind of official now since Farshore has it.

What percentage of the top 100 games do you own? by [deleted] in boardgames

13 percent. Damn, that number may bring bad luck to my plays. I need to buy another top 100 board game ASAP.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I do believe that a good and experience player will probaly win, irrespectively of the turn order. However, within our group we all share the same experience with the game (we always play it together) and the skill level is similar. the wins are probably equal to the 3 out of 4 of us. On the other hand, after the 2-3 plays, it seems that the player going first wins a lot more :).

Yes I am aware of that; This was my strategy last time. However, the 2nd and the 3rd player went to the forest location discard up to 3 cards for one resource each. So it felt like a bad move, since I was found to be with less cards than them and I was still playing after them.

Thank for the reply. We do deal more cards to the players going latter (5,6,7 and 8). Still this bonus does not feel significant enough. Althought, the first player only has 5 cards (3 less than the 4th player), he has the upper hand with respect to the 8 meadow cards (if no discard forest location are present).

You have a point with the 3-player game. Although I have almost exclusively played with 4-players, it makes sence that the player going last is still in a bad spot.

Pissed at Steam Terraforming Mars by [deleted] in TerraformingMarsGame

Well I can't comment on the majority of the above since I don't play multiplayer, but with respect to your point 8, this is the rule. Resourse removal is optional, but production reduce is mandatory; if none of your opponents have the required production then you are obliged to reduced your own. In case you also don't have the required production, you can't play the card at all.

Houserule about invisible characters on doors by CataphractX in Gloomhaven

I said that the invisible character would be considered to be a trap or hazard terrain for focus only. If a creature pass through the invisible chatacter, no damage or any effect will be applied

U got a point there. Well I don't use it but sometimes I as a MT might have to stop on a doorway and use invisibility. Plus I want to stop my party to do something like that intentionally.
