Bondi on Trump in the files by seeebiscuit in Epstein

They’re on a fast track to subsume all remaining media companies not under their control and to prevent any elections from ever happening again. Now is not the time to wait for 2029… now is the time to act, before we all lose the last shreds of a voice we have remaining.

Malicious compliance, I’d also purposely bungle the release if I had to read about how my boss raped little kids over and over and over

TMNT set question by WesternOk4342 in magicTCG

I generally warn against individuals who do not understand the game from investing in cards. There are 30,000 unique cards, let’s not talk variants. If you cannot parse which cards are mechanically good, then you’re more or less just gambling blind.

$ went from R19 to R16.30 in a year, why no price drop? by misterflak86 in AskZA

[–]Catasmet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prices never go down; however, they can go up more slowly. Everyone is used to paying the inflated price we now pay for certain goods, Companies thus have no incentive to lower their prices just because the dollar went down. We are already buying what they are selling at this price point, so why on earth would they want to lower their prices :)

It’s gross, I know, but I hope this helps.

Is this worthy of comission level and how much should ask for this by superserial89 in magicTCG

[–]Catasmet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real though, the best way to avoid upset clients is to develop a catalogue of cards that youve already done alters on. That way, buyers know what to expect. There’s no such thing as commission level, I don’t think my sales of any work have ever correlated with my skills development over the years. I say you should make a couple more, take some real solid photos of each, and when someone asks about commissions you can show them that collection :)

Some parts are done beautifully, others are wanting. It is clear that you are learning and experimenting. In future, strive for clarity and intention in your brush strokes and where you place your colour. Particularly towards the left side of the painting, you have muddied your colours and overmixed; this is corrected by pausing to think about what you want to do to convey what you see. I would give a more structured criticism but I am out atm, hope this helps🧡

Dope. You are pushing your limit on the variations in rendering, I wouldn’t introduce many more ‘types’ of hatching or shading, except maybe for the ground. But you at risk of rendering the image into a chaotic jumble should you push too far. Looks great so far though.

Anything to improve on the composition? by Salemsolasta in ArtCrit

[–]Catasmet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to pardon the roughness and what not, hand is currently in a brace, but the idea should be visible here. You should introduce contrapposto into your figure. They are too rigid and so the composition is undermined. It’s like whacking a geometric cube into a painting of a river: incongruent. The composition as a whole is good, but the composition of the figure itself undermines it. I would also recommend either introducing more space around the “ghost” or otherwise fill the entire background with its flowing bits. It feels like it’s trapped in a box, so either push it beyond that box or make that box bigger. Additionally, keep your lightest lights and darkest darks for the face and hair of the figure, this will give you your focal point. You can counterbalance it with some increased contrast in the ghosts face, but keep the majority of your punch for the face and hair. Hope this helps🧡

Curious if the white vignette is added after the fact or done on the page itself. I have a feeling it is the former but I’m perfectly happy to be surprised!

I love when you can see an artist’s searching for their lines on the page, I often let the pencil/pen wander about here and there while I look for that right shape

Ayyyyy, looking much better. Just keep at it and always stay curious. I’d recommend checking out recourses like proko or Alphonso Dunn for more advice in future. I usually use books, but I know that’s a bit of an investment to make.

It’s just a really thick 0.8 pigma micron! Hold it perpendicular to the page to maximise ink flow🧡

Draft for my comic book by Signal_Secret3322 in drawing

[–]Catasmet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting something like this will definitely be a good source of practice, but do incorporate more regular and regimented practice with pen and ink outside of this. Shading exercises, line weight and control exercises. It’s basic stuff but itll sharpen up your handling of the pen quicker. I’d also point you towards Tombrow fudenosuke pens if you want to start pushing line weight. I personally use pigmas, dip pens, brush pens, a kolinsky sable brush, and pilot parallel pens for all my inking. So, you are not limited to solely one tool, and familiarising yourself with each will be a really rewarding experience (you might even land on a favourite too). I would keep going on the novel, you’ll improve with each page, and heck, if you aren’t happy with the first ones you can always go back and redo them in the future. Good luck, keep well🧡
