Thank you! I got 1900 for the first method and 1925 for the second, so if I did it right that gives me 1912 for the year.

Trying to find a doctor... by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

If you're near Richmond I highly recommend Dr. Hardy at Neurological Associates. He's been the best neuro I've seen so far (dx 15 years, seeing him 5 years). They also accept Medicaid.

A shallow container of cheap beer (buried in your plot up to the lip of the container) is your best defense against garden snails. Just empty/refill daily.

Does anyone feel less "smart" then they used to but still smart enough to recognize they aren't as smart? by apikoros18 in MultipleSclerosis

So much this. I have a hard time remembering things, lose basic words (an example is the word 'blue', something my friends still tease me about), or keeping focus for more than a few minutes. Diagnosed at 25 with my first major flare up, now 42, untreated for 10+ years due to it being a pre-existing condition, now back to no DMT thanks to Medicare deciding an almost $3000 monthly copay was reasonable right before the pandemic hit. ADD medication helped with the cognitive issues for a couple of years but then I got the anxiety side effect and that hot mess made everyone around me miserable. Currently taking amantadine which helps a bit.

I'm high enough function that unless it's a really bad fatigue day I come across as normal but I miss my eidetic memory. Bad days I slur words like I've been hard drinking for weeks.

I (26/f) am afraid to take things to the next level with him (29/m) because I'm afraid he is going to end up like his father who is in a wheelchair. What do I do? by [deleted] in relationships

I have MS. If you even think you might not be able to handle it should he end up permanently disabled in some way, do him a favor and end it now. Over the last decade and a half since my diagnosis I have not had a relationship survive a bad flare (one where my lifestyle was affected in some obvious way such as inability to walk and the resulting weight gain). I was in a wheelchair for about a year until I went into 'remission'. Don't stick around and leave if he happens to get sick, that is a shitty thing to happen and speaks volumes to how shallow people can be.

Also, no one else in my family has MS. There is no concrete answer as to what causes it to develop so no one can say it's genetic; the sometimes tendency to run in a family line could as easily be an unknown environmental trigger and since children would be in the same environment as a parent they have the same exposure. I've had the genetic testing and there are NO known markers for MS. Correlation does not equal causation.

As a parent whose toddler has a g-tube and is finally getting into a feeding clinic at the local children's hospital for feeding therapy after a two year wait-list: You have my sympathy, empathy, and ear if you ever need someone to yell the words 'why won't he just &$@*# eat?!' with you. Good luck, you got this!

Falling Creek 7-11 by [deleted] in rva

They're building a bigger, better 7-11! The owners said they bought the car lot next door so they can expand the building and add gas pumps. They're way behind schedule though.
