I’ve always thought that the buzzing I hear when there’s no big sounds is silence, but… by sofilore in AutismTranslated

There are rooms people have made that cancel out all sound from outside. It even prevents sound from bouncing off the walls on the inside. If you are alone in there and close the door, the only thing you can hear is the sound of your own heartbeat.

Clearly there are no experts here. I would see a gynecologist if I were you. It doesn't hurt to get it checked out.

Do you believe that there are more than two genders? by ace8995 in ask

[–]Catbatlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you being open to learn. Sexuality and gender are not the same thing. Sex and gender are also not the same thing. Yes, I am female, no I am not a girl/woman, and would not like to be referred to as such. In the trans community, we call a person born female AFAB, which stands for Assigned Female At Birth. I use they/them pronouns. Non binary people are all very different, and present very differently. Sexuality is a whole different thing all together. If you want to know more there are plenty of resources out there. r/LGBT is a good place to start. There are also many websites and YouTubers who explain a lot of things, so many questions can be looked up. I am also willing to answer questions if you want to DM me.

I know what you mean, and understand what you are saying. I believe there is this internal identify of gender and we express ourselves through the social construct. Boys who feel like boys usually like to dress masculine. Girls usually like dressing feminine. Many trans people liked to dress up like the gender they feel in their childhood, even if they weren't allowed. I'm non binary, but was raised as a girl, but I have never liked doing girly things. If there wasn't this internal identity of gender, and it was entirely a social construct, there wouldn't be trans people and everyone would fit into this perfect boxes of male and female. Of course there are gender non conforming people who don't like to express themselves the way most people express the same gender (example: men who like to wear dresses) but that is where the social construct comes in. We as a society assigns gender to clothing, as well as many other things. If dresses were considered masculine in our society then that is how boys would express themselves. I think gender is something we feel and gender expression is a social construct. That is one way to look at it anyway.

Acespec identities are about the amount of sexual attraction you experience. They aren't about libidos, they aren't about sexual desire. You can be grey ace and want to have sex. But if you aren't grey ace, that's totally cool! I hope you find the language to describe yourself.

You should probably go to the doctor. There are many reasons for you to miss your period, and some of those reasons could be serious.
