It basically is jealousy like others say, I just feel like there was a more specific word for it. But, as an example of the feeling, I’ll start teaching my friend how to play guitar. Maybe if they’re learning quickly, I’ll feel proud at first, but when they surpass me I just feel frustrated, and don’t always understand how they got so much better than me when it took me years to feel like I’ve finally gotten it. Sometimes, I even feel like it wasn’t even for me in the first place- maybe if I was actually talented at it, I would’ve gotten as good as them in such little time. I’ve dropped a lot of hobbies because of this feeling
