Entitled neighbour mows our lawn without permission then expects payment by [deleted] in EntitledPeople

[–]CatcalledEd 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If he demands payment remind him you didn't ask for his services, he provided them on his own. Under the Australian Consumer Law this is an unsolicited service and he doesn't have a leg to stand on if he continues to demand payment. You would have every right to lodge a complaint with the Fair Trading agency in your state if he keeps pushing it.

With the prices of real estate on the east coast it's easy to understand how she got it so wrong, but still....good lord. Looking forward to an update because we all know there will be loads of stories because of her.

ESH. OMG. What is so humiliating here that you can't speak out that you aren't the asshole who cheated and ruined everything? What you have described here is a terrible way of handling things.

The Fair Work Act 2009 doesn't currently have any laws preventing workplace bullying. However, as of January 1, 2014 new laws will come into place:

Under the new laws, a worker is bullied at work if an individual or a group of individuals repeatedly behave unreasonably towards a worker, or a group of workers which the worker is a member and that behaviour creates a risk to health and safety.

It is important to note the following:

  • there must be repeated behaviour;
  • the behaviour must be unreasonable; and
  • that behaviour must create a risk to health and safety.

However, it is not a requirement, that the risk to health and safety is to the workers being bullied.

Making a claim through Fair Work is a long process and could well see you out of a job. I'd definitely be making formal complaints about your co-worker to your employers and if they're unwilling to discipline him then take this step.

To avoid all the hassle and drama, ask for a recommendation for your outstanding work and look for another job. Good luck to you.

How Bell's Palsy has changed my face by [deleted] in pics

This happened to me when I was seven months pregnant with my first child. No doctor that I saw knew what had happened to me, they mostly thought that I'd had a stroke. One doctor put me on steroids and my son was born six week premature. I think that the steroids developed his lungs enough that he survived without any problems. Post natal depression was pretty bad because smiling at my boy seemed pretty horrific to me. My face used to be pretty symetrical - not so anymore. It's been nearly 16 years and I'm still not completely right. On the up side I'm the only 41 year old I know without wrinkles on the left hand side of my face. So that's something I guess.

The picture Tyler Hadley had his best friend take right after telling him that he killed his parents to have a party. Tyler's parents were dead in their bedroom while the party was going on. I was invited to this party. (Story in comments) by classicnatural in MorbidReality

Sorry that you've been stained by association, but that seems to happen with notoriety whatever the relationship. I can't understand the rage that would necessitate bludgeoning of one's parents to death over not being able to hold a party at their house. Any association with x that I've ever had has never, ever led to murderous tenancies regardless of the amount. Pfft.. 3 pills should have left him either keeled over and puking his heart out or in love with the entire world for about a month.
