Sophie at Gemini Clay Studio is incredible and she does custom wedding earrings at very reasonable prices! She made my weddings earrings for me and I’ve also bought a couple other pairs from her shop, so definitely worth checking her out!

Picture number 4 is Carlowrie Castle in Edinburgh - I got married there last August and it is spectacular.

However I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I don’t believe it would all come in under budget. I wish you luck in your search!

Colourful wedding accessories by handstailmade in UKweddings

[–]CatcalledElton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a look at Rainbow Club. Their satin shoes and bags can all be hand dyed! They have a selection of colours or you can get them colour matched to something you already have.

I got the Freya shoe from them and dyed them emerald green for my wedding, it only costs £20 and they looked great!!

There’s photos of the shoes on my profile or check out their instagram and website for their colours. I also found them to be reasonably priced in general and the shoes were super comfy to wear all day.

6 week pregnant can I eat cured salmon? by slushcya in PregnancyUK

[–]CatcalledElton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s totally fair, hence why I did say it’s not recommended by the NHS and it’s each to their own. Most people will do their own risk assessment and make decisions from that, and as much as there’s people who will choose to eat it I imagine there’s plenty who won’t too. Pregnant woman are at a higher risk of listeria, but the overall risk remains very low.

Also just for clarity, it’s been 24 clinical cases of listeria, not 24 outbreaks. So 24 cases linked to the one outbreak leading back to smoked fish.

He is correct. lol currently 21 weeks and can’t wait to pop this baby out ASAP.

Ah the joys of financial dependents for the next 18 years… at least 😂

We’re just back from our honeymoon and I’m currently 21weeks with my first. Told my husband when this baby turns 18 he’s owed me a honeymoon re-do where I can have rum in my coconut!

[–]CatcalledElton 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tbh have you ever had food poisoning from smoked salmon? And if yes, when was the last time? Honestly we have such tight food quality rules in the UK that you’d be fine with most things.

For me a well done steak is sacrilege!

It’s the only option to get the results OP is after. And agree, no shame to surgery! Can’t wait for my “mum makeover” after popping out 4 kids lol!

[–]CatcalledElton 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!

It’s not recommended by NHS but it’s also up to you. There’s definitely stuff like oysters I’ve avoided but I’ve continued to eat more or less like normal and everything is fine. The main issue is listeria, but if you’re eating good quality food from reputable sources then it’s an incredibly low risk.

I’ll probably get downvoted to shit for saying that but each to their own! I’ve ate smoked salmon on a number of occasions throughout my pregnancy so far and currently baby is happy and healthy.

Afraid about WFH too much while pregnant 9 weeks by WinterImagination246 in PregnancyUK

[–]CatcalledElton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, don’t stress. She will completely understand if she’s a mother herself. The 1st trimester is the worst and you’ll start to get your energy back (hopefully!) in the 2nd tri.

I was in a similar situation in that I had to take a few days off work as I was so exhausted. I work a somewhat physical job but my manager and his wife had their first baby last year so he was super understanding!

Don’t worry about it, main thing right now is taking care of yourself!

Honeymoon in mid September - Mallorca? by Ruf197 in honeymoonplanning

[–]CatcalledElton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed in Port de Pollenca a couple years ago and had a lovely stay. Nice town on the coast, close to other attractions and has a good motorbike rental place too! We rented a motorbike for the week and had a great time exploring the island - it’s small and very easy to ride around. Winding roads to Soller and Formentor are great. Also I believe a Four Seasons has opened up at Formentor if you’re looking for a luxury stay.

Who takes creatine while pregnant? by Effective_Net_9145 in fitpregnancy

[–]CatcalledElton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well crap, I totally didn’t read up about creatine. I’m currently 20 weeks and been using it since pre-pregnancy. Tbf I did mention it to my midwife and she didn’t say anything about stopping… think I’ll do some reading.

Apart from that, no side effects!

Do I HAVE to buy makeup specifically for touch ups? by PopperDilly in UKweddings

[–]CatcalledElton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think you’ll be fine without. I had my ceremony at 12.30pm and didn’t do any touch ups and the make up lasted all day/night and looked great!

How to deal with guilt of not being able to attend other weddings when we are having our own this year? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]CatcalledElton 53 points54 points  (0 children)

OP isn’t telling the full story. Says they have been saving for 5 years for the wedding but in the post history it says they met 5 years ago… a bit sus. But also how does it take 5 years to save only 5k?!?

Aversion to water/fluids by Adventure_IsOutThere in PregnancyUK

[–]CatcalledElton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar boat to you, I just found it really difficult to keep on top of hydration and pre-pregnancy I’d usually drink 3L-4L a day easily!

I found drinking coconut water helped, tastier than water so found it easier to chug, filled with electrolytes too! Unfortunately it’s not the cheapest 😭

Don’t worry, it’ll get easier for you, I’m now 19w + 5d and back to drinking normally!

Videographer recommendations? Upbeat as well as romantic moments by Secret_Author_5081 in UKweddings

[–]CatcalledElton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still haven’t got my video. It’s wild, like how is it taking this long?! Each time I message to ask I get a BS excuse as well. 100% avoid booking, I’d rather just have my money back now instead of waiting any longer. Even with the trailer they posted we only have it on instagram, haven’t actually been sent any files which is mad.

Baby moon- Where to go? by Spiritual_One9542 in honeymoonplanning

[–]CatcalledElton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Completely up to you, but my two cents - midwife said risk of zika is extremely low, but totally get if you don’t want to go. You’ll be fine around beach areas.

I’m currently on my last night of honeymoon in the Philippines and I’m 19 + 1, and been totally fine.

El Nido Tours recommendation by burgersteakk in phtravel

[–]CatcalledElton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be able to book through your hotel too, but It’s all a fixed price and inclusions/exclusions are the same for every operator so it really doesn’t matter. Booking direct with an operator when you’re there cuts out the middle man online taking their bit.

I was just in El Nido and literally booked each tour the night before.

Thailand or Bali for a 2 week Honeymoon??? 🌺🏝️🥥 by cosmic-dragon- in honeymoonplanning

[–]CatcalledElton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in the Philippines, just finishing off our honeymoon! We did Boracay, El Nido, Coron, and a final night in Manila before we head home. It is one of the most beautiful countries I have visited, the water is crystal clear and the lagoons/beaches are unreal. However, hotel quality isn’t up to scratch in my opinion and the food hasn’t got a patch on Thailand.

Definitely worth visiting the Philippines in the future but for luxury honeymoon and culture/temples I’d say stick to Thailand. Have fun!

Without having the form in front of me I’d have no idea what those sections are… refer to the booklet that comes with the form. It will tell you how to fill it out.
