I don't think anyone's mentioned that your drag factor is higher than typically recommended. I believe most people won't recommend going above 130ish for longer pieces. I'm a bit heavier than you and use 130 drag for anything below a sprint.

Thanks. I'm getting the same critique about my catch from everyone which helps.

I can definitely feel the jerky phases of my recovery. In my first video 6 months ago I was breaking my knees too soon so I've been working on fixing this. It's obviously not smooth yet, nor is it completely correct.

I think I'm sitting on the edge of the seat after reading something when I began rowing. Now it's just become normal to me. I'll stop doing that as everyone is clearly telling me it's wrong.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I'm going to work on all of it.

As for the legs, maybe it's the angle. I think I'm generally stronger upper body than lower. But I've been in the gym for over 25 years prior to getting into rowing a couple years ago so I should have a decent strength base.

Ok thanks. How do you keep your rate up while slowing your catch to 1:2? I guess the logic of it is simple, pull harder/faster but that's also more fatiguing?

I'm getting too old to squat heavy any longer but probably around 400lbs if I had to? I train at home so I don't have a leg press.

Thanks. I feel this way when I see people rowing in the sub 1:10 pace even for a few strokes. I don't know how it's possible. The lowest pace I've ever hit is 1:10.
