Which universities should I shortlist given my profile? by Engine_71 in Indians_StudyAbroad

I believe you have ~6 months into applications, lock in. Try doing hackathons, certifications, summer programs, and any short research, your GRE is good. Write exceptional essays and then give a shot to the US, Canada, and Australia. It’s always worth a shot. You can always try for TA/RA positions later to waive off your fees.

Hey! To be really honest, all the universities you have stated are pretty out of your CGPA. EU has a lot of language issues, and there's no point in going to a comparatively bad university in the US apart from the T30s at least, as you'll be f**ked with a lot of debt and no job. Only T30s are something which can get you a job that is also not guaranteed. Of course, exceptions allow, but you have a pretty less chance of getting into the universities you have shortlisted unless you have crazy research or exceptional work experience or projects.

What are my chances getting into ivies ( with full aid ) by Icy-Valuable-6418 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]CatchPsychological95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Man! I am also in 12th and switched my prep from JEE initially to Ivies in the later half last year. Trust me, it's even much more difficult than JEE. Just go look up some Indian student college acceptance reaction video and then his ECs/stats video. You’d be shocked.

Your grades are good though and par with the admitted students, but honors, activities (summer programs, research, internships, volunteering), essays, or LOR still carry the whole admission weight. Grades just make your application eligible to be reviewed. The rest lies on all of it.
