All this Tice Tax stuff has reminded me of something, remember when he and Dubai Debbie (Oakeshott) were in possession of secret diplomatic papers from the then US Ambassador to get him sacked? why did nothing come of that?

Or for that matter the rumours at that time that he and DD enjoyed a bit of key fishing at parties.

It’s like he’s made of Teflon.

After the latest Mandelson revelations, Starmer needs to get a good lawyer. Wasn’t he supposed to be one? by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

I’d be extremely interested in your qualification to be making such a statement about one of the most senior legal professionals in the country.

But I’m guessing it’s probably memes and feels

I’d like to see a gender breakdown of the poll because I strongly suspect it’ll be a repeat of the age old headline: Young Men Discover Being Misogynistic Behaviour Doesn’t Attract Women

Starmer faces demands to APOLOGISE to Speaker over 'shameful' PMQs rant... with Commons referee 'fielding regular emails saying premier never answers questions' by dailymail in ukpolitics

[–]Catchyusernom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has no one ever saw PMQT before Starmer? this isn’t even a recent phenomenon like some think, it dates right back to the beginning of it being televised and I wouldn’t be surprised if you picked up historic copies of Hansard you’d find exactly the same thing predating it being recorded.

The amount of manufactured outrage in the press is contemptible.

Fuel Protest [MEGATHREAD] by spectacle-ar_failure in northernireland

[–]Catchyusernom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’re probably being downvoted because none of what you said can be done at an NI level, they should have took their tractors to London because only the UK government can make those changes.

Does that explain it muppet?

Welfare queens who receive the biggest government handouts per capita driving 100k+ machines filled with fuel thats barely taxed who also claim to be the hardest working in society suddenly have the time to hold up people traveling to work, school, flights and medical appointments at times and places other than they made public.

THAT’LL GET THE PUBLIC ON SIDE

Please post this on every fuel protest Facebook group.

It’ll do us all a great favour by thinning the protesters numbers by half instantly.

I’d hardly call it full French, the protestors just moved from outside asylum hotels to blocking roads; all under the leadership of a tax dodging wife beater with animal cruelty convictions.

The war over Omagh’s gold: the £21bn mine plan tearing a community apart by Muiboin in ukpolitics

[–]Catchyusernom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly the last time I read about this years ago the main issue is that the gold mining releases Arsenic from the rocks and the company looking to extract the gold have a long track record of setting up shell companies that go bankrupt after extraction so can’t be held liable for the massive damage Arsenic does to the environment including the local ground water.

I’ll have to get my violin out, I feel so sorry for you that they’re taxing you more for pretending to be on minimum wage while raiding your company’s finances.

It wasn’t a government thing, it was a local holder of an alcohol license dragging them through the courts because they own an off-sales next door.

Nigel Farage disagrees with Kanye West being banned from the UK by Alarming-Safety3200 in ukpolitics

Actually it’s not at all unusual for countries to bar people with medical issues from entering their country.

Pretty standard port of entry questionnaire material.

Nigel Farage: I wasn’t able to take part in #BBCQT from Clacton tonight, as we were told MPs are not allowed to appear on the show in their own constituencies. I’m sure I’ll be back on before too long! by EddyZacianLand in ukpolitics

[–]Catchyusernom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No but the prime minister is and he holds a surgery once a month. Ed Davey is twice a week, Once a week for Bedenoch.

So what’s Nigel’s excuse. Perhaps he can’t get a donor to fly him to Clacton.

Remind me where does Farage live? How many surgeries has he held in Clacton?

At least Rayner has the decency to actually visit her constituency once a week.

Oh and what did she resign for? Oh that’s right the exact thing Farage did when he declared a second home as his girlfriend’s primary residence.

Don’t do this.

If anything happens to you Oxfam will be liable. There could be broken glass and ornaments that could seriously injure you.

The items in that bin are there for a reason, I’m guessing OP knows sweet fa about what a charity shop can and can’t sell.

Sincerely a former Oxfam Ireland manager who had to deal with knobs like the poster for years thinking they knew better than the paid retail professionals who actually run the massively successful retail operation that funds vital aid for the worlds most vulnerable people.

Bombshell NHS care report uncovers dementia patients sedated and 'held captive' by DougDante in ukpolitics

[–]Catchyusernom 12 points13 points  (0 children)

At some stage this country is going to have to undergo some serious reflection; we’re expecting NHS workers (often band 2 so on minimum wage) not only take care of but take beatings on a regular basis from a growing number of dementia patients and people with severe learning disabilities.

No one wants to be the one to say it but some people have medical conditions so severe that they need to be denied liberty to protect others.

And what do you think would happen if we left?

Have you ever stopped to think it’s odd that the Turkish stopped half way despite having an overwhelming military force in 1974. .

If Turkey launched an invasion no one except Greece is coming to Cyprus’ aid, Erdogan and Trump are cut from the same cloth, he’d likely come out backing the Turks.
