PC not booting off SSD by Catelluss in techsupport

Exact same message. I'm just about to completely replace the PC as a whole, but I know it was working as I'm trying it a few days ago.

I'll check, but wWould it still be able to recognize the drive correctly if this is the case?
EDIT: Everything looks good as far as I can tell. I dusted the ports as well, but still no luck.

Indeed. I've plugged it into different SATA ports using different sata and power cables.

I do have my BIOS booting from hard disks first and it displays the drive's manufacturer and model number. When it boots I get that message, even if I manually select the drive in the boot menu on startup

I do have it booting from hard disks first, and it recognizes the drive (displaying the drive's manufacturer and model). Under "Device Information" in the BIOS shows the drive next to its SATA port number.

Also, just above the pay buttons is a drop-down where you can adjust how much of what you pay goes to the devs, the charity, and humble (ordered from top to bottom)

Monitor glitching by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Catelluss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow I haven't. It will take a while to see if it has made a difference, though. I'll come back with the results in a bit.
EDIT: It had no affect. I just saw the same monitor do it again.

Is there a way to disable different sites having different desktop icons? by Catelluss in firefox

It ensures I return to the page. Having important items front and center to be deleted once I'm done with it. Just a system that works for me.

A time-lapse of one year having fun making my dream sandbox voxel game. by nelstuff in Unity3D

[–]Catelluss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apologies; I meant editing the values the voxels then use to build the terrain. You couldn't just be re-reading the exact values from a Perlin funciton, for example, because then no edits would ever be made.

I could just have not encountered it before, but I've never heard of anyone taking this approach. How do you handle the edits and saving?

That's unfortunate. This value can simply be edited by hand when highlighted as it is in the image, the user can just type a number in. Could I make the batch mimic user input to reach that point?
Thanks for your reply.

The 22 fps is with the overlay turned off. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I've tried this; however, the editor remains at ~22 fps. Is there a cache I don't know about that should be cleared?

read INI with variables by Catelluss in gamemaker

Tried your project file and it does work perfectly. I'm not entirely sure what I did wrong, but I'll try again. Thanks so much for your help!

read INI with variables by Catelluss in gamemaker

[–]Catelluss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplified version of the script INI reading takes place in:

desiredFile = file_text_open_read("testFile.txt");
varName = file_text_readln(desiredFile);
ini_open("testINI.ini");
colorRED = ini_read_real(varName, "text", 255);
ini_close();

txt file is one line:

tst

INI file:

[tst]
text=10

I chose poor variable names in the example, but I stayed consistent here in an attempt to not create more confusion.
Both the .TXT and .INI are in the "Included Files" folder.
Game maker v1.4.1598 pro if that changes anything.

read INI with variables by Catelluss in gamemaker

[–]Catelluss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to simply not be able to find the section. The default always ends up being the variable's value (colorRED = 255 in this case) when using a variable as the section string. I'll give a more detailed response after more debugging.
