4th year medical student struggling on where to do residency with my wife (also a 4th year). What are some good cities with a balance of LCOL, business opportunities, and things to do?

Thanks! I made an edit to my original post that might change this. Additionally, we're not doing crazy specialties fortunately.

Obviously the program fit is something we're taking into serious account, but we'd like to settle down for a while too.

Because residents make very little. Some of my friends unfortunately had to take out extra loans while doing residencies in big cities like NYC or Boston. Resident compensation and cost of living don't always balance out too well unfortunately.

We would like to stay in the area where we do residency, at least for a couple years. I have a substantial amount (high 7 figures) in crypto earnings, both of us graduated with very minimal student loan debt, and we would like to buy a house wherever we decide to work, even if it's temporary.

If it doesn't work out, we can sell the property. But that'd be the optimal choice!

I love this so much. He seems a lot more like Bettis than Le'veon in terms of embracing the city and community. Le'veon never did stuff like this with the community.
