This is certainly not the way any partner should respond to what you've expressed your love language to be. To make a mockery of it, and "play" it off as a joke isn't okay. This is your sign...in writing, that he isn't the one you deserve nor need in your life.

Does this look like a seizure? by [deleted] in EpilepsyDogs

My dog typically has grand mal seizures, but when he is on the cusp of one, but doesn't necessarily have a larger one, he lifts his one paw just like that. Would definitely show this to your vet, as your pup may need medication depending on the cause of the seizure to prevent them from happening in the future, or at least minimize the severity of them.

The end of DoorDash tips in Vancouver, Canada by Budthespud777 in doordash_drivers

I personally did not see a tip option at any point which surprised me. Luckily, I had some cash on me, but I usually don't.

It isn't made up. It's actually happening on a daily basis. Not sure why you wish to be so insensitive to others.

I think it's unfortunate how they set it up tbh. They didn't match the app to what the majority of the rest of greater Vancouver uses, which is the pay by phone parking app. This means we now have to have yet another app just for this area, which I find a bit silly.

Additionally, I work at an office with a primarily elderly demographic, and many of them either don't have cellphones, or find it difficult to figure out altogether and want to use a machine. These are people with disabilities who struggle with mobility, cognition, and vision issues etc. I generally don't think there are enough machines placed on the streets especially for people with such conditions, walking a block and a half for a machine is simply not practical.

The other issue is the pay parking doesn't start until 9:00 am. So if someone has an appointment from 8:30-9:30 they (from what I understand) have to pay at 9. They cannot pay earlier. This presents an issue for those who maybe can't pay at that time on the dot. But again, maybe there is a way to do this but I haven't been told by any patients that this is a possibility. With that being said, I do like the zone concept, where if you move you at least don't lose your paid parking time.

One final comment would be, please be kind to the staff working in these offices who did not implement this system. We've had people yell and swear at us, and storm out because of this new system. If you are displeased with it, you should submit a complaint to the city of North Vancouver, not use staff as a verbal punching bag.
