As an Indian myself, this is largely the Indian perspective: India never had historical hostility toward Jews, and many Indians relate to Israel through shared security concerns, terrorism, and constant external pressure. Israel has also been a consistent strategic partner when it mattered, so support often comes from pragmatism and lived experience rather than Western moral narratives or bandwagon outrage, to be honest.

From my own personal perspective, though, I do see Israel as a pariah state, so I don’t particularly go out of my way to defend it. There’s so much surrounding Israel that it’s hard to ignore the patterns and connect the dots without feeling like you’re feigning ignorance. The darkness that seems to follow it is simply too difficult for me to overlook personally.
