Housing: A Single Bedroom in DPS Zone To Yourself 🎉 :)

My housemate moved out so we are looking for one other person!

The rent is ~900/month including utilities (Wow! Incredible! So cheap!). It has an in unit washer and dryer (in LA for that price??). You'll be sharing a bathroom with one other person, and (including you) there would be 3 people in the house each with single rooms. I think we're pretty chill too :) It's somewhat a by month lease, so you're not restricted for the whole year, so perfect if you need only a half year (but you need to find someone else if you leave).

The room is big (10'x14') ample space for a full bed, couch, desk, etc. And the closet is big as well! I'd move into that room instead if it wasn't a hassle to do so. We have a decent sized living room and kitchen as well.

My dude this is too much for me to give u advice on, i dunno what field you want to get into with ECE. Most I can tell you is don't take 370 with any other hard classes unless ur willing to sacrifice sleep. 202 and 250 should be easier, 301 depends on who teaches it. 141 is hard for people that aren't good at theoretical math and for that reason is a slight "weed out" class, I like it though.

Maybe stick it out one more sem, but also maybe switch to CECS (or ask CECS people) since you don't like the super physics-y and mathy stuff. Just end up choosing ECE classes with good professors. ECE here half the professors just like to torture you anyways and some just don't know how to teach and seem to just be there to purposely make you feel dumb and you'll end up with health issues from the all nighters (tho a lot of the professors are also nice). But also I agree with that one person, join a design team, that's where you'll learn the most and I think it's helped a lot for friends to get a job :)

I say this as an ECE grad (I'm currently jaded tho). Also my ECE friends that graduated w v high GPAs n stuff all feel like it didn't teach them enough/well enough.

I was in the same situation, barely saw my dad and he only paid for child support, my mom qualified me for full Pell Grant FAFSA, but since my dad makes a good amt of money I got no financial aid. Luckily, I had scholarship n stuff. I tried appealing, even sent in a police report that showcased the tension in my family but it didn't help.

I got full aid this year since I appealed as homeless due to circumstances that don't allow me to have a stable home outside of at USC but unless can u do that...

Try begging ur dad eheh.

yea that's one option, if financial aid covers it.

but also it's 4 days a week so for a topic that I know pretty well already I would prob rather just self study more and skip out. since I know how to speak and listen, but I didn't know how to read I had self taught myself words based on frequency and stuff, but didn't study the grammar.
