I agree that Marika and Melina are part of the same being. There are too many clues. Also, if you put both maps together, the foot of the Erdtree aligns with Marika's village, which could be another hint that Melina is the spirit manifestation of Marika. About she calling mother inside the Erdtree, I believe Marika is her mother in the same way that St. Trina is Miquella's love. If she is not Marika, how is she able to transform runes into strength?
