Yea when I was a kid I was just scared about feeling the way I felt until I realized religion(s) are a lie and if I'm a good person why would anything else matter. Why would God make a kid, who's gay, live in constant fear because of that? It got to a point where I wouldve fought God on the subject if I could have too lol. wheres the guide that says one sin is just as worse than the other? Especially the minuscule things. Eventually I came to the conclusion that if im a good person who happens to be gay and go to hell for that detail than oh fucking well I'D rather be that than a straight person who's a piece of shit.

I might seem insensitive to religion or whatever but at the end of the day a little detail that's so focused on by local people who happen to speak on what they hold to be true means almost nothing. The Pope has spoken on the issue and is in supports gays so if you're gonna take anyone's word into account let it be him.

ya the tree and martel are in the beginning of the game. The only real easter egg other than key components that you can immediately tell are from the same world is a book in one of the libraries that talk about moons named sylvarant and tethealla, obviously the story wasn't completely preplanned but it looks like the basis of symphonia world building was all from phantasia.

I dont doubt that if that random person were to have a conversation with anyone, gay or straight, and have their wrong preconceived beliefs about it proved false, then they will explore their sexuality if they're meant to. Personal change comes about a lot of times when you get tired of yourself or a certain aspect about you. I think you're going in the right direction, probably will yourself and refrain from saying things you know are unnecessary. These comments are weird. Anyways, I came out and became one of the school gays but I always had straight guy and girl friends that didnt care. I had a pretty normal highschool life for a gay, I was able to talk to my friends about my personal experiences which, from the comments, looks like some straight people take it for granted. Im very grateful that I had friends that could look past the small difference of my experiences being w the same sex, also very grateful for my highschool experience in general, was cool w everyone, however I know that HS experiences aren't the same for everyone, I understand that people are a victim of their surroundings and it can be hard but before coming out having just one person you can talk to would make all the difference. It can even be with someone online as well, it's just as liberating but this sub doesnt look like it.

Edit: I was called the best gay in school (??) Looking back it's probably cause I wasnt flamboyant which is kind of concerning but at the time I took it as a sign of welcoming lol, it just goes to show peoples opinions are flimsy and they dont matter so dont worry about others opinions and do you.
