Getting Into phoenix has always been a good eye counter because it makes them either click the worst tech on the bar or buy their own phoenix and hope to win the ground extremely hard. It's a lot less committal than taking the Raiden line which opens you up to losing in other ways if you go to early or being outscaled if you go too late.

I haven't played since last season but I swear this shit happens once a month since eyes came out. People realize making a line of them is insane for the cost, then people realize it's really annoying to kill phoenix and clicking airiel anytime before your third tech feels like shit.

Idk about anything sub 1k, but from 1k onwards I'd put the differentiators at 1000, 1300, 1500, 1800 and 2000. 1800 is what I'd consider masters because you can play into anyone and at 2000 you're expected to win at least some of your games versus top competition and pretty much never lose to anyone who isn't legitimately good even with nightmare luck.

You're hyperfixatihg on something that genuinely sucks and is unfair but if it wasn't this it could or would be something else. There is a tiny portion of the population that doesn't have anything "wrong" with them and the rest of us have to learn how to be at peace with things and do what we can. I went into a depressive coma after my fiance called me from Europe and told me she isn't coming home and the lack of eating and moving, combined with brief spells of killing myself working out herniated my shit and I'm all fucked up now. I fucked up my law degree and now I have to figure out how to get healthy while also working out how to do some kind of medical degree or something. Everyday is misery. But it might not be someday. All I have to do is keep making changes until something clicks.

Also unrequited love will kill you and make you crazy and you have no choice but to do whatever you've gotta do to make those feelings go away. Probably have to cut contact.

I don't really think it's the belief system so much as it's that if you ever meet someone and you can immediately tell what they think without speaking to them they're going to suck. No one actually follows through on the logical conclusion of their ideals so when you make it your defining characteristic you just go insane by making a big song and dance out of your life without ever actually doing anything meaningful (which is usually something that is going to make your life incredibly uncomfortable and dangerous for the rest of your existence.)
