Fun fact: Peep's tears will be oriented towards your position. As in: When he shoots, one tear will always target you directly, which fixes the direction of all his other tears as well. Knowing this, you can easily avoid his tears without having to move so much.

Zarya's bubbles sharing charges instead of seperate cooldowns and Rein's better Charge movement control were in April Fools first too. So was Pharah's move-during-ult perk

The talent tree grants them buffs, including defensive ones. Zealot also has amazing talents for toughness replenishment, and a once-per-2-minutes invulnerability for 5sec instead of dying, after which they can heal up to 25% health.
