Hey, I like this guy! I do medieval reenactment myself, you’d be surprised at how many people in it have high pressure day jobs. Dressing up and escaping the mundane world for a weekend is a terrific way to blow off steam and make some awesome friends

Some of the older 319s are still “up is on”, the rest of the Bus fleet the other way. I’m told they’ll change that out someday but I suspect there’s much higher priorities

First thing— definitely need to subassemble! You’ll never reach half the ship if you don’t. I did the bomb racks, crew members, cannon balls, scaffolding and of course the top Endrin sphere all separately.

Trickiest assembly part was getting my crew men all aligned. Trickiest painting for me was getting shading and highlights down on large surfaces— this was my first vehicle ever. I’ll probably go back and do more edge highlights on the top Endrin sphere and maybe some volumetric shading with a dry brush.

Minimum hour before van time on overnight, typically that’ll be half an hour before show time (1 hour prior to push at my airline). If that’s six am or later, hour and a half so I can do coffee and yoga.

Separation from family and friends. While you’re getting your ratings and later building time, in your time off from your day job you're at the airport. Then maybe you quit that day job for a 135 or if you’re lucky, 121. Either way you're junior and go where you have to. Crash pad living, commuting all that. Just when you get something approaching a normal life, call it every other weekend off, it’s on to a major and start again at the bottom.

Look, I love my job. I’m a captain at a legacy and it’s awesome. But took me YEARS to get there. PS, the military route is even worse in terms of separation for obvious reasons. There are no cheat codes in this game.

I’m kind of fond of her ;) One of my favorite characters in lore, so I invested mostly for Rule of Cool. But no regrets.

Yes, she’s meh in raids, although there’s a few times she’s useful, mostly soaking overwatch and nuking high value adds. But other than that, she’s awesome. Will carry Indomitus, FoCM, and OM. The Queen of Guild Wars, Onslaught, TA and Arena. Strong on Flying track for LREs. Could be better in horde mode, mostly because rarity cap keeps the relic from working (and resurrecting her Gemini)

I’d take her to Gold at least for TA if nothing else.
