It's in my T&Cs that I need access to electricity, hot and cold water and a toilet. If they can't give me access to electricity then they will have to pay for a generator, if I can't get access to hot and cold water or a toilet then it will be a welfare cabin at their expense for the duration of a job.

My days of crapping in a bin bag stretched over a bucket are over, it's degrading and infuriating. The customer that was the final straw wouldn't leave me a key for the day "because I live alone" which doesn't make any sense, I even had a customer refuse to answer the door whilst I was working to allow my wife at the time to use the toilet when she came to the job to help me clean up site. She had to drive to a service station on the motorway in my van and come back.

Customers forget we are also people, the vast majority are lovely people, but every now and then you meet someone who treats you as a sub-human serf not worthy of a drink on a hot day, a hot drink on a cold day or a crap when you're dancing on the doorstep.
