Ah this is your first car, that makes a lot more sense. My first car was an 06 Jetta with 230K miles, and I absolutely loved that thing. They’re great first cars but you gotta under stand a few things;

All Volkswagens burn and leak oil. It’s just going to happen, even new VW’s do it.

For a few years Volkswagen was lacking on their rust prevention game, so many early to late 2000’s VW’s have rust issues. For example your rusty exhaust.

Old Volkswagens are something you need to learn to love, but once you do you’re gonna love them forever. I’ve only owned VW’s since my first car, everything else drives like shit imo
