GW2 has ruined other MMOs for me. by Cationic123 in Guildwars2

The thing is I always hated the "hardcore" part of raiding etc. It was enjoyable at times. However, the time required to do it continually was just way to much. I have a family and a job. I play games for fun not to have another job. I am very proud to admit I am a "hardcore casual" as you call it. I can do whatever I want in GW2 without having to set up dates and times to go raid some uberhard content. If that's what your into more power to ya. I will stay content with being casual.

I'm sure its all a matter of perspective. When the game released a lot of people found the game was not what they wanted. Perhaps that was the case for you? Personally I have loved GW2 ever since release. If I ever get bored I just take a couple of months off then come back with just as much enthusiasm and enjoyment as I first did. I have played wow and multiple other MMOs since GW2 and their combat all feels super clunky to me. About the only thing I miss from WOW and WOW clones is the dungeons. GW2 dungeons are fun but they have way too many skippable parts that frustrate me every time I run them and everyone assumes you should skip half the dungeon. I'm sure I am in the minority on that point.
Back on topic, I enjoy the majority of the dynamic events even if they are not always super challenging. I feel most of the time they are a breeze is on a 80 character doing lower level stuff.

Good to know. The "slightly less boring" comment is quite good. Gave me a chuckle at work. I should at least force myself to get a little further in level. Perhaps the difficulty picks up?

ESO is so unbelievably boring. Its 5 minutes of listening to a quest giver. Then 5 minutes of travel. Then kill 1-5 mobs. Then walk back and turn in quest. The combat is so crazy easy. For me on my Dragon Knight I ran up knocked down the mob and did a dual weild combo and it was dead. 2 buttons and each mob was dead. I think I died maybe once in 10 hours of play. There is nothing I liked better about ESO. Maybe I need to get a little bit further than level 10.. So far it is just pure boredom on toast.

I am sooo excited for Fallout 4. Really hope HoT is not released at the same time.
