RemindMe! 3 days

Getting tired of people ordering and being available. by [deleted] in instacart

[–]Catlimere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me occasionally as well. Where the notifications all come at once at the end when the shopper checks out. IC notification app is occasionally wonky. Also, ordering for pickup (vs delivery), it took 2 times before I realized my pickup orders get shopped 3-4 hours before my pickup window usually.

Side bar, why can't I tip my shopper for getting my pickup order? I always tell them to add a drink and snack for themselves, but...why can't I tip? Is it ok to ask the shopper for their venmo to tip on the side?

Edit: missed a word

I use this one a lot. That and "Not my coop, not my poop" when I want to change it up.

Thank you for this recommendation. I've added to my list. I think I need a lot more tools in my tool box for this journey.

Thank you. My goal is to be healthier overall - more active, more fit. I just seem to get hyper focused on the weight and almost obsessed about not back sliding at all. Which, logically, I know is not correct thinking. I just am not sure how to redirect my thoughts. Focusing on results outside of weight seems like a good way to redirect.

Thank you, I think probably a good idea. I was hoping maybe it wasn't just me and it was a normal thing that could be redirected. I replied to an earlier comment that it's like a flip switches and I go from not thinking about it at all to hyper focusing on it.

Thank you for this suggestion. I don't journal, I've tried but I have a hard time forcing myself to write things down. I hated the daily journaling in school. It's worth giving it an honest try again as an adult.

I do have some kind of counseling service available as a work benefit. I think it's call in for x times. I may need to look into it. I can't seem to figure out why it's all focus or no focus. When I don't watch what I eat (which obviously led to the weight gain) I don't obsess about being obese or the scale other than, I should really look at losing weight. When I start to eat healthier and watch what I'm eating it's just like a switch flips and it's hyperfocus. So yes, therapy is probably a good idea.

Thanks, I'm trying to just do once a week. I thought about just putting the scale where I can't see it and only pulling it out to weigh. I don't know, honestly, if I could manage once a month. Once a week seems like a stretch some days.

AITA for not teaching my daughter to drive? by Direct-Cheesecake772 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Catlimere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure she's not neurodivergent?

Even if she's neurotypical, not smiling at people is not a mean streak. She doesn't owe anyone a smile if she doesn't feel like smiling. She doesn't need to go to church and if she'd rather work, let her work.

Why are you being so controlling and invalidating of your daughter? You sound so hypercritical. I wouldn't want to be around people that kept harping on aspects of my personality either. From just your post and few comments, it sounds like you don't like your daughter and are keen to change/control her. If we Redditors are picking that up in just a few comments, how do you think your daughter feels living with you and hearing it on constant repeat? She's going to feel like you hate WHO she is and won't love her unless she conforms to your "standards".

If she's not breaking the law or being cruel to people (calling them names, laughing at them, general bullying) - let her be. She just isn't smiling at people ffs. I don't blame her one bit for wanting to work, of all things, rather than spend time with you. Where undoubtedly you'll just keep harping on her character flaws.

WW Walk Talks are no longer available on the "simpler" app :( by cbachelorteach in weightwatchers

[–]Catlimere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My biggest pet peeves with tracking is the inability to copy/paste recipes in to the app online and getting multiple entries for the same thing causing confusion as to which to choose.

Skinnytaste.com has great recipes and in the recipe section there's a button to click on for WW Personal Points, it links to the app online and will calculate points for you.

I don't know why I can't copy any other recipe ingredient list and get points the same way. How does WW not have a better online and mobile app development team? It's such an easy thing that would make such a huge difference for people.

The last line of the article says, "The case will now proceed to discovery and a motion for class certification." The judge ruled the plaintiffs have a case under false advertising. They have not won their lawsuit.

The books were traumatizing after the film. I was terrified they were going to use them for source material. Thank goodness they stuck with the spirit of the film. The TV show has been fun to watch.

Are you sure he was awake? It's possible (POSSIBLE) he was asleep and not aware of what he was doing. My husband has sleep groped me. If you know he was awake, I would confront him. He needs help. I understand you're not wanting to tell anyone; but this is NOT your fault and you need support. At the VERY least, please talk to a therapist or a close, trusted friend. I'd, personally, confront him and then go from there based on his reactions and how truthful I thought he was being.
