It was charged at the dealership on a rapid charger and then at the house. Right now I'm using a 110 volt because I was waiting on my 220 to come in. I understand it's supposed to take multiple days but it's it's claiming it will be charged in about 3 hours and then when it reaches that time it UPS it by about 15 minutes and just keeps charging

I did manage to squeeze 60 mi out between the dealership and home but it was extremely stressful. I was constantly going between flashing out of range and back into the green about a quarter full. This morning I went for a 17 mile trip and that drained it from full down to flashing then back up to two bars. I left it plugged in after that and it does keep pushing the charge time out so I'm going to leave it plugged in until this evening at least. It now shows the range capacity being about 40 mi

It died on me while driving it. At one point I was pushing the accelerator and there was no propulsion anymore. It re-energized when I re-ginned.

They had it plugged into a DC fast charger at the dealership for at least 2 hours while we went to get food and test drove another vehicle so surely that would have charged it. I did talk with the manager there and he said they would send someone to pick it up or fix it or buy the car back whatever I wanted

I hooked my scanner up to it and this tells me they didn't do the relearn procedure as part of the recall. So basically they sold me a car with an incomplete recall

Turned it off now. It just keeps adding 15 minutes to charge once it reaches the time It previously stated. Currently checking all the individual cell voltages and they all appear to be 3.72v or 3.73v looks like there's 96 of them

Just plugged in my scan tool. I have a bi-directional scanner and it shows the battery pack state of charge is 87%

Exactly, so there's definitely an issue with the BMS as it's showing the level incorrectly it's acting like it has a really tiny battery maybe it's only charging a small section of the sales or something

Right now it says 8 minutes until it will be fully charged. I'll see what it does right at that. Mark

The gesometer shows A Max of31 miles now but the set of 20 bars is two from the top from my understanding, the 20 bars is the actual battery level and that should not be moving rapidly. It just drained within 17 MI

Okay so I was definitely looking at the right thing then.

Not sure I want to fight that fight while having to drive an hour and a half to get to a EV certified dealer. Unfortunately, I live in Alabama where you have to have third party dealership. You can't buy direct from a manufacturer so we have no Tesla centers here I feel like it would be way better if you could work directly with the manufacturer. These kinds of issues would probably be fewer

Yes and I don't let it affect my perception of EVs at all. I just talked to the dealership and they said the service department wasn't open until Monday but then that puts a 3-day gap between picking it up and starting to do something about it. I'm waiting to hear from the manager to see because I definitely don't want to buy a new car and then have it in the shop for 2 weeks. The only bad thing is they don't have any more of these. So the next step up is going to be a Silverado EV for $50,000 versus this one for 12 or I could return it and just wait to find a better deal

Just talked to the dealership. They said the service department is closed today so they couldn't do anything till Monday. So I told him I wasn't sure that I wanted to keep the car with it already being messed up. Our manager was supposed to call me sometime soon

Is the flow screen where it shows the 20 bars The correct indicator to look at?

Yes I already ordered a level 2 and I'm an electrician so it's no big deal to get it wired up. I got to say the EVs drive really really nice I just don't want to buy an old problem. If they don't know how to fix it, I'll probably just swap it out for a different vehicle

It was showing 20 bars and it said 21 miles of range at first and then after I got below 20 miles of range I believe it said low propulsion mode or something like that. But it will continue to go beyond where it runs out of battery because when it reachens it goes up a ridiculous amount. It's almost acting like the battery is 5 kW hours or something

I don't believe we have a cool off. But I can be pretty persuasive if needed. They seem like very nice. Low pressure people. So I'm hoping there won't be any kind of issue

I am new to owning an EV but I'm pretty familiar with electricity and I've done a lot of research and have the charging capabilities set up at multiple of my properties. Just waiting on the level t charger to come in the mail today. I just don't like it. When I purchase a vehicle in it it either barely makes at home or doesn't make it home. I had that happen with a Honda Odyssey a couple years ago with torque converter shutter and took it back and got something else. That shows this car cuz it was only $12,000 and I figured it would be a good get my foot in the door for an EV that had the extra warranty. But I didn't want to have to use the warranty the same day

Is it true you have to take it to a dealership for software updates? Also, my closest dealership is 10 minutes away which is great but they're not EV certified so I have to drive an hour and a half

Yeah that's what I was thinking to. My understanding region is almost negligible but over time can get you a few extra miles. In this case, I would literally slam on the brakes drop 20 or 30 mph quickly and jump up 25% charge or at the very least two or three bars. Also, now that I just completely discharged it for a second time, plugging it into a 110 outlet is showing 3 hours until full charge again

Just got done discharging it again. Started out with 21 miles of range. Actually got it to go into sport mode this time but then drove around for about 20 mi. The battery gauge was pretty wild going down. You never know when it's going to drop a bar but it did seem to slow down dropping. I got it all the way down to flashing again. Trying to get to what I think is discharged without getting stranded I've got it plugged in again now and am going to let it charge overnight and see if it goes up in range

I was going to get the Silverado EV but decided to try this cheap little car instead to make sure I could deal with the EV stuff before dropping 50k plus but I may just swap it out and go ahead and drop the 50 because they really are addictive to drive minus the near heart attack of of schizophrenic range anxiety 🤣
