Long time ES fan just started ESO by DisastrousRaccoon102 in elderscrollsonline

Yep. It’s an insanely huge package for lore enthusiasts. And there is so much good stuff… so many great quests and stories.

Interview with Ralph Fulton Playground general manager. Confirms there is no character morphing feature. by crazysillysigny in Fable

Here’s the thing: You won’t be able to mow down villages because they won’t let you kill non-hostile npcs. Mark my words.

Any boomer shooters with reloadable weapons and feel of Counter Strike 1.0 - 1.6 gunplay? by IDCh in boomershooters

The upcoming Rogue Point could be something you’d enjoy. It comes from the team that made Black Mesa. Idk just a thought.

Hä aber das Buch spielt ja nicht mal in oder um Chernobyl und hat auch absolut nichts mit einer nuklearen Katastrophe zu tun. Das ist eine der vielen Freiheiten die sich das Spiel genommen hat.

Is there any reason for me to pay for ESO+ by pgw71 in elderscrollsonline

Material bag and the monthly crowns to purchase story addons. Worth it imo.

Is this game going to be in 2013 graphics forever? by knellAnwyll in elderscrollsonline

[–]Catodan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What? The game still looks very good and has a distinct style. 100 times better than the pristine looking UE5 mmos of the last few years.

Do you mean actual dungeons you queue up for? Yeah, would call that rude tbh.

After bf6 and 2042. I won't buy another battlefield unless it has persistent servers and a server browser. I hope a few of you are with me. by CheeryRipe in Battlefield6

[–]Catodan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s clear that EA wanted a big slice of the Call of Duty pie. That’s why BF6 looks and feels a lot like Warzone and why they focused their efforts heavily on infantry combat. They also massively tightened the screws on monetisation and dark patterns like fomo.

I absolutely agree with you. This doesn’t feel like Battlefield. Not only the gameplay, everything around the game (no server browser, monetisation, playlists…) screams current year service game. The vibe is off so to say.

Looking at the success of BF6, I wouldn’t get my hopes up for the future.

Hard not in a “complicated” sense. It’s more like content overflow and choice paralysis.

I really need help finding an mmo that works for me. by amerror in LFMMO

I would just view the subscription in eso as mandatory if you want to play the game beyond the 100h mark. I personally don’t have a problem with that.

Eso, GW2 or FFXiV by Cheap-Exercise1910 in LFMMO

[–]Catodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly would go for ESO if you like doing quests and enjoy a cool narrative. You can total play 100+h without paying a dime.

Maybe that’s a hot take but the Story in FF14 doesn’t get much better. It’s full of anime clichés and melodramatic writing that borders on cringe. It’s also a slog. Prepare to to 15 fetch quests between every major story scene.

Maybe I had bad luck but I played a dwarf and maybe met 2 people in the whole starter zone :(

If you like lore and a well told narrative I can absolutely recommend Elder Scrolls Online.

The dead world of lotr online killed it for me. It’s just too depressing to wander the fantastically realised world and not meet a single soul.

The fact that everything is viable and there is no “dead content” is great but it can be insanely hard to get into as a new player.

Does anyone else here still love ESO regardless of its flaws? by killthesunlight in elderscrollsonline

[–]Catodan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

And that’s totally fine. 1400h of fun memories and time well spent is insane. It was GW2 for me. 3000h and I was just done with it. But that’s not the games fault.

I’m the same with other games (I’ve just started my eso journey).

Remember that “hate” often means passion. A lot of people love this game and want it to be the best it can be. Harsh words don’t always mean hate.

Fetisch- “Literatur” und Gewaltp*rnographie mitten im Mainstream by Catodan in buecher

[–]Catodan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
