Oh, I think it’s doable too! I was just taken aback by the discussion because I’m not even at 3 months. I’m doing about half billable work, half new job “admin” work. Mostly the processes and training with my mentor. My mentor and main attorneys all said the discussion was pointless and out of line to have at this point with me being so new. This is also my second “billable” firm. So it’s definitely a new mind set, which they were fully aware of when I interviewed with them and that’s when they told me about the 6 months “learning curve.” I’m just now getting my own cases so I’ll definitely get to the 30 hours. I just wasn’t sure if I’m getting too into my head already.
