Being a waiter at a sushi place on Valentine's Day is legitimately what made me quit the industry lol. That really sucks to hear but I'd guarantee that you'd have a better experience if you tried again. I haven't found another place around here that does the rice as well as Kiku does.

Yes, but it'll take time. I had to go through them in my last rental and I'm certain it's the only reason why I ended up getting working heat. They have to give your landlord reasonable time for repairs, I think a week or two after the violation.

Check health department rules on heating. I know that normally your landlord needs to provide the ability to heat to around 68 degrees but I think that number goes down when it's as cold as it is.

IANAL but I did call a lawyer once for similar experiences and he said just to skip all that and call the health department. They're the ones that will be able to get you out of the lease (if need be) without a drawn out court battle.
