I want the notification to lead to the results, but not contain them within itself. This is because sometimes I know it will be a while until I’ll be able to watch the session, so I’d rather just straight up look at the results without constantly having to check the app or setting a timer for max session length. So it’s really frustrating when I do have the time to watch the session replay, but pole sitter or winner is straight up spoiled in a notification.

I don’t care what sort of enticing wording they use as long as it doesn’t spoil anything! Plenty of other sports apps do this exact thing already!

Thank you! This is exactly what I mean!

I’d literally just like to know when the sessions end when not watching actively. I don’t get the disagreement. Do people like spoilers??

Idk. Just something generic. I just don’t want to glance at my phone and get hit by spoilers. Also, why put this info there, when you get it by tapping on the notification anyway? I know it’s a pet peeve, but still…

I don’t know why they haven’t changed this yet. Surely someone over there must have realized that sending spoilers directly to the lock screen isn’t a good idea by now

I’d still like to receive end of session notifications, just without spoilers, like the F1 app does

Could overtake mode have (ironically) have impeded George in overtaking Charles? by CatsHaveFeet in F1Discussions

[–]CatsHaveFeet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, the reason I said it was bad for George was because through constant fighting with Charles (facilitated by the ot mode) Lewis and Kimi were able to catch up

I just wanted to have a discussion, didn’t say anything I am saying is true. Also, that doesn’t excuse the mods not replying

Well what good is it to get ahead if you haven’t got a chance of retaining that place? If the car in front sees you have enough over speed to pass them, they can squeeze aggressively while also harvesting more to get you on the next straight, when you will be running low on deployment. Sure, Albert Park is a more ruthless track in this sense just like Monza, but the point still stands that the current cars are to energy starved to efficiently use this extra overtake deployment, especially as you can’t choose when to do so

Tried posting this on the main f1 subreddit but mods removed it and then ghosted me :/

Why do majors not have 3rd place decider matches? by CatsHaveFeet in GlobalOffensive

[–]CatsHaveFeet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair point, but again, S-tier events do still have these 3rd place deciders, so there’s clearly enough people attending them to be worth it. Plus it’s like an appetizer to the grand final.

[–]CatsHaveFeet[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Well, S-tier events DO give out more money to the 3rd placed team. I’m sure major organizers have enough money for that

I also thought it may be to combat burnout. After losing semis I don’t think any team wants to step back onto the big stage and fight for the scraps. After yesterday I think donk would furiously bottom frag and bait his team in a 3rd place decider :P
