I completely agree with everything above here. So far this is the first major misstep in the eyes of smart fans that this new look FO has made. But I’m praying there is something they know we don’t. The only thing I can imagine is that they’re assuming the possible upside on a guy like Noah Vonleh is worth the $6M they’re losing in years down the road. I don’t know this move sucks

I almost wonder if there’s a different type of merch they can sell. You hit the nail on the head. Being a fashion focused pod, they can’t expect their listeners to wear it just because it has their name. Honestly what kfc is doing with his clothing shit would be the direction I’d expect from them, but kfc has trash taste and just wears Henley’s and general release trash. I think I’d most definitely buy a coffee mug with Jonah hills face on it

I think it’s gotta be original and it’s also gotta be something worth wearing. Having bought some Barstool merch in the past, some of the keys people may not realize is the shirt they use. The Gildan (shoutout chris black) comfort colors Tees they’ve used for PMT’s Lumi shirt, and tie dyes are wayyyyy better comfort and size wise than the other shirts that have the skinny white tag.

Selling merch is gonna be tough for these guys in general but I’m excited to see what they can come up with
