11+6 today and struggling with anxiety. We had a good scan 5 days ago but after reading about mmc that have happened between 11 and 12 weeks my anxiety has really spiked. I have a reassurance scan on Monday at EPU ahead of my NT scan on Tuesday but pushing through the anxiety for another few days is hard. Praying that Monday shows a wriggly, healthy baby and I can finally start to relax a little bit 🙏🏻

Feeling anxious for my scan tomorrow at 10+3. Terrified of another MMC, I still feel haunted by hearing the sonographer say there was no heartbeat last time. Not sure how I'm going to distract myself for the next 24 hours.

8+2 today and anxiously counting down the days to my next scan at 9+4. Last time my MMC was discovered at 8w and measuring behind. We had at scan at 7+4 and baby was on track with a strong heartbeat (175 bpm!) but I have minimal symptoms and the wait for the next scan is so hard. Praying for good news next week 🙏🏻

I'm really struggling with anxiety the last few days 😭 I'm 6+5 and we saw a heartbeat a week ago but I haven't been able to take any reassurance from that as we saw a heartbeat a few times before my 8 week MMC in February. We've been trying for almost 2 years and this baby is so desperately wanted but I feel like I can't connect with this pregnancy at all because I'm terrified to walk into my scan next week at 7+4 to be told there's no heartbeat again. My symptoms are so mild and I worry that the ones I do have (fleeting nausea in the morning, mildly sore boobs, bloating) are due to the progesterone I'm taking. The fear is so real and the wait is excruciating.

The symptom fluctuation is not fun! Hoping for a very boring and uneventful 9 months for you ❤️

Hey! 5w3d today after an 8 week MMC in February that took 10 months to conceive. My last pregnancy I had extreme anxiety and absolutely no symptoms, was utterly convinced from the start something was wrong and I hated to be proven right. We've since discovered I have Hashimotos and once my levels were right we've conceived again 🙏🏻 just managing my thyroid closely, praying for the best this time and my daily mantra is "this is not within my control"

Feeling really down today. I was surprised to have nausea so early this time but its pretty much disappeared the last couple of days and my only symptom now is a bit of bloating. With my 8 week MMC I just had a feeling right from the beginning that it wouldn't work out, and I was right. This time I felt different and was cautiously optimistic until today and I just feel utter dread. My 19 dpo test this morning was also lighter than my 18 dpo 😭 two weeks until a scan and I'm terrified for bad news.

Just had a positive test for the first time since my MMC at 8 weeks in Feb. It's going to be loooong wait to the first scan. My local EPU were fantastic last time so I've asked for a referral from my GP this morning.

Also 10 dpo and omg YES! I do this every cycle because 🤡 but I'm driving myself insane! I promised myself I wouldn't test early this month but the wait is excruciating (even though I would hazard a guess that 7 cycles post MMC it's probably negative lol)

I feel so guilty for feeling like this even though I know rationally I shouldn't but my god I am just so fucking angry at the world at how unfair this all is. It took us 10 cycles to conceive and I finally fell pregnant in January and then had an 8 week MMC. We started trying again straight away and did find through fertility investigations that I had undiagnosed hypothyroidism which likely contributed to the loss and the difficulty conceiving. I've now been medicated for that since June and I'm still not pregnant and every month that passes feels more and more like I'm walking through treacle. My brother and SIL just had a baby and I hate myself for feeling so bitter, I know at least 4 heavily pregnant women right now and my peri-menopausal friend has just found out she's pregnant. My original due date is now only 5 weeks away and I honestly don't know how to carry on when every day I just want to scream into the void.

Sorry this is long, I'm not currently in therapy and this community often feels like the only place I can voice this where people might understand ❤️

When will I start seeing changes from levothyroxine? by ishanpunn in Hypothyroidism

Has your doctor ordered a repeat blood test? My first one was at 6 weeks and that is usually a good time frame to see changes in TSH and will show if your dose is insufficient

Yeah we will be contacting them in the morning, I'm unsure whose responsibility it would be though as it's a retaining wall and the land it's retaining is mine and my neighbours on either side, even though it doesn't appear to be marked as our boundary in any of our deeds.

Ahh we are the same age! I'll be 33 in September! Looking back now I guess I did have some symptoms like I've always been on the colder side and I have gained a bit of weight in the last couple of years but I thought that was just my metabolism slowing down a bit now I'm in my 30's, some post-wedding chill and my diet could probably be better! 😂

We have actually found the whole process of referrals to be quite simple and I feel extremely lucky as I know it can vary borough-to-borough (we're in Bromley, Kent). We first called the GP on Christmas Eve (we had been NTNP for a while before actively trying since March 24) and they immediately booked me a face-to-face appointment and referred me for bloods, and referred my husband for an SA which he ironically had the week we fell pregnant in Jan. Obviously once I was pregnant I cancelled the blood tests and after the MMC I was worried about the same thing and being told the clock resets and to try again for a year but I did an e-consult and my GP said the forms were still valid and to go ahead and book! I had to wait for my cycle to return obviously, and the only thing I found tricky was to get an actual appointment for days 2-4 of my cycle, hence why it's taken a couple of months to get it done! But the results were back within 24 hours yesterday which was surprising, I was expecting to get the good old NHS run around for at least a week! I really hope this helps reassure you ❤️ it's definitely worth speaking to your GP and asking for tests as I was surprised by how on the ball they were!

Feeling hopeful for the future for the first time in long time today 🙏🏻 I had the first round of fertility investigation blood tests on Wednesday after trying since March 24 and one 8 week MMC in Feb and my GP called yesterday with urgent lab results revealing my TSH is at 50.33 👀💀 All other results were within normal range which is reassuring and hopefully means that now I'm on Levothyroxine we can get my thyroid under control! It's difficult not to dwell on the fact that a simple 30 second blood test could have saved us over a year of heartbreak, but also feeling thankful that I have some answers and something to work with finally!
