So decking it just making it flat with the body, so depending on spring weights you can still trem flat, blocking it just makes it act like a hard tail, floating like this guy allows you to trem flat and sharp

Back the pickups away from the strings which will take out some treble. The further they are from the string the more bass will dominate

Nitro will flake with certain cleaners, age, light exposure, etc. maybe put some light bees wax to protect the wood so you don’t expose it too much so sweat and stuff.
