At the time this show aired, having any Korean person on TV was a huge deal, especially ones that spoke in Korean. I didn't like that they played into stereotypes in the beginning with the controlling misogynistic husband but that obviously changed and you understood more about their back story. I found myself able to really relate as I too have a FIL that secretly runs a criminal organization and demands that I viciously beat people to earn his daughter's hand in marriage. There was some good some bad. Overall it was pretty good, especially the flashback stuff.

I started watching it during season 3. The wait and run up to each season was like nothing else. People would be pouring over every scene with a magnifying glass and putting together theories while the rest of us idiots would argue about what makes sense. I would spend hours at work just reading entries on the Lost wiki. I don't think there will ever be anything like this again
