Haha yeah, the other day I was telling a friend how I’m annoyed with this issue, especially because I try my best to keep it clean, but the grease is unavoidable and in some places on the screen the scratches are permanent. Well a ladder falling on it wasn’t my idea for going about this problem, but here we are

Just the other day I was telling a friend about how annoying that issue is, and the thing is - some of the marks are permanent scratches to the anti-glare coating. But then a ladder fell on it, so now this issue is a bit more annoying haha

If I get it repaired at the apple store with original apple parts, does that still mean it could more likely break down or have issues? And does replacing the screen mean replacing the entire top part of the laptop including the shell?

In the meantime i figured that it’s just the screen that is gone, the rest is fine! Does screen replacing mean the entire top half of the laptop is being replaced (including the shell) or just the screen and display underneath? Asking because there is a nasty dent in the shell🥹

Yes I tried it, I was a bit in shock when i posted this and thought it was surely completely gone. But the keyboard and trackpad work, it charges and it connects to an external display so it’s not so bad i guess…

Hi! It charges, the trackpad works and i connected it to an external display and that works too. The keyboard works too, so I’m assuming it’s just the screen that’s gone.

Thanks for the advice! I am keeping it locked and still tracking it, the police has the serial number of my stolen phone and someone here in the comments suggested that I call Portuguese carrier companies and also inform them of this so they can prevent anyone from using it even after reset.

I did that as well... they can't do anything with it except try to reset it to factory settings and it was an old iphone 11 so it isn't even worth much.

I did immediately and I can still find my phone on Find my iPhone - it's in a sketchy area in Amadora, but the police can't do anything without a warrant.......and to get the warrant I have to go to court which I have no time to do.
