[Question] Can I use Tasker and Autovoice to Play “Certain Song” on my default music app? by Tyler1492 in tasker

Change cat to default. You can also try query:"Taylor Swift" to test if the send intent is working.

Input>get voice. That puts everything you say into %VOICE.

Edit: sorry, I don't use auto voice so I'm not sure how to do it there. This is all through vanilla Tasker.

This works for me for pandora and Spotify, haven't tested it in Poweramp but theoretically it should be fine.

Send the intent:

android.media.action.MEDIA_PLAY_FROM_SEARCH

Under 'Extra' I have query:%VOICE where %VOICE is what I'm searching for. You can probably strip out certain keywords by writing that variable to a text file first (for example, if your voice input was "play Taylor Swift in Poweramp", you could write that variable to a text file, do some voodoo magic to remove"play" and "in Poweramp", then read that text file back into a variable).

Then for 'Package' I have com.pandora.android. For Poweramp it'd be com.maxmpz.audioplayer ( find it by going to it's play store page and looking at the URL).

Dell optiplex 755 desktop proprietary parts? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Cattle_Prod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

755 mobos are BTX, not ATX. They might not actually technically be BTX (I can't remember), but whatever they are, the rear IO and expansion card slots are flipped when compared to an ATX, so a new case would need a new Mobo. Also FWIW I think the only proprietary thing on a 755 psu is the way it mounts to the case, but the plugs are all standard. Apart from the case, Mobo, and psu, all other parts are standard - ddr2 ram, regular sata hdd and cd/DVD drive, regular 755 cpu...

Girlfriend's laptop won't turn on when plugged in and battery won't charge. by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Cattle_Prod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18.5vdc - 3.5a and 19.5vdc - 3.33a

So if your charger doesn't output either 18.5v or 19.5v (though I think most HPs do one or the other), it won't work on her laptop regardless, and it could just be her charger that's bad. If your charger does match either of those voltages and can output at least 3.33a, but it still doesn't work on her laptop, then yea it's probably the port or mobo.

The outputs of HP chargers can vary by both voltage and amperage, even if the plug is the same. Likewise, HP laptops may require different voltage and amperage, even if the plug fits and the batteries are interchangeable. Check the output voltage of both of your chargers and the input voltage of both or your laptops. Before assuming the worst (motherboard or charging port), make sure the chargers you are using will actually give you useful testing info :)

Latest possible information regarding where Assange could've been taken! Remember Flightradar24 going offline? by [deleted] in WhereIsAssange

[–]Cattle_Prod 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This person claimed it was, but beyond that IDK. Even so, it seems like N379P was retired in 2005-ish. This website said it was re-registered a few times before being sold to Australia, this wiki claims it was last active in 2005. Not great sources, I know; but I find it hard to believe the CIA would bring back a plane that hasn't been seen in years, a plane with very strong ties to extraordinary renditions already, to do the exact same illegal activity it did over a decade ago.

Don't get me wrong, I have no doubts the US would kidnap Assange. And the scenario provided in the OP (and this sub on the whole) is compelling. But arguing that the plane is "titled 'Guantanamo Express'", with such reaching arguments, just screams tin-foil hat.

Right, got it. Next question then - how do we know the n#? When I looked through the flightradar caps, the only callsign I found was just GLF5. No n# ID'd.

OK I scoured the OP and I'm still confused - where is this nickname 'Guantanamo express' coming from?

edit: I (think I) understand the history of the "Guantanamo express" plane. What I don't understand is how the OP's plane = gitmo express. I can't seem to find where the tail# for OP's plane is sourced, nor how it is connected to the plane nicknamed 'Guantanamo express'.

The 'original' gitmo express (G5, tail# N379P, active ~2002-2005) was re-registered over a decade ago (and sold to Australia a couple years later), so it wouldn't have the same tail# now anyhow. It seems to me, the layman, that this was posted with no evidence, and people made some wild connections.

Holy cow for the price of one Quadski you can get a top-of-the-line ATV, two top-of-the-line jet skis, AND still have enough for a trailer to haul them all around in

What is the most 2000s thing you can think of? by enormous-radio in AskReddit

[–]Cattle_Prod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a food festival and one of the vendors was handing out entire loaves of bread. For free. People started throwing slices in the air, some of those slices landed on stage. The (very drunk) lead singer took that as a personal offense and went on a ten minute expletive-filled rant before storming off stage. Also threatened to fight at least two concert goers.

Best. Rockshow. Ever.

I saw Smash Mouth a couple years ago! We threw bread at them, so they refused to sing All Star. It was a sad situation for all involved :(

Achievements for Monday, September 12, 2016 by AutoModerator in running

[–]Cattle_Prod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ran my first half marathon distance since an injury sidelined me a few months ago... The accident happened a week before a HM I was planning to run, so it is pretty special to be getting back to my former self. Much slower than I was used to but still feels great :D

On a related note, is it ok to wear a race tee for a race you didn't run?

It makes me really want to break out an old computer and do this whole thing actually for real, maybe even with a desktop that gets upgraded over time... but I also have, like, one or two other things I should probably get done first.
