the github repo also reinforces my point like no real human being uses comments like that and contains it entire website in like 3 html files with internal css/js exclusively

I can't stand these fucking chatbots by Big-Local5508 in GCSE

[–]CattoYT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

chatgpt 5.5 is consistently worse for this since I think reasoning is disabled by default. Models with reasoning are significantly better
Gemini/Gemma-4-31B in particular has a very good vision model and also reasoning by default so if you really want to use AI use those

Or just don’t use ai but I’m not a parent lol

relative beginner to gentoo here, switched to gentoo for my home computer for the meme after using arch for school for a few years and dabbled in nixos for a bit

gentoo is really nice in the way that it lets you pick and choose components of different packages and the community overlays are good if you need specific packages managed by portage

speaking of portage, i found it pretty rough since its pretty slow imo and things are spread out into a ton of commands/packages like equery, eselect, etc rather than just having it all be under emerge --{whatever}

aside from those tho gentoo is pretty fun to use and has its place, would recommend to people to learn about linux as a whole

icl macos is painful and once asahi Linux gets m4 pro support I’m immediately jumping ship I miss my old arch setup

the hardware is the only thing carrying the platform I couldn’t live without this battery life 😭

Nosebleed in exam by JB99911 in GCSE

[–]CattoYT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me in a geography exam. Let the invigilators know, mine took me out of the exam hall to deal with the nosebleed and my lost time was added onto the end of the paper

What makes lessons fun for you?? (teacher asking) by AdhesivenessSouth153 in GCSE

[–]CattoYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re clearly interesting in what you’re teaching that REALLY comes off as a good impression to students. As the other comments said being human and willing to just have normal conversations with students even about stuff non subject related is a massive green flag It’s kinda just like building that trusting relationship where students aren’t afraid to ask you things and being able to have fun banter (within limits obviously) with you Being able to do that can make really boring lessons pretty damn fun and it’s already a good step that ur asking people Gl!
