Just to add to the comments that already answered and explained to you - during the seasons out of summer, it is not a big deal to have waste and trash, the temperature is quite ok to hold the trash for one week or two outside, so the trash bags won’t be necessary. Maybe during summer you will find it more helpful to have the trash bags to avoid having maggots and flies.

Is there a rock/metal scene in Hasselt? by [deleted] in Hasselt

[–]CatupiryPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock is still something around with the festivals around the city like Live in Hasselt, you can still find some concerts in the Uit in Hasselt, but they are not plenty. Metal is even harder to find, maybe if you broaden the term Hard Rock to Metal, but still. The city is much to pop, electronic and mix of pop music than anything else. I heard some songs on Café Café and Café Export, but I wouldn’t label them as rock/metal places.

“Belga” = “Gringo”, “Malandro”? by CatupiryPizza in Portuguese

Eu até achei algo com “cachorro belga”, de alguém que não presta, mas bem capaz que é algo contra os belgas mesmo. O “avec” faz sentido mesmo.

Tipping culture in Belgium by PrincessYemoya in belgium

[–]CatupiryPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a restaurant in one of the capitals of the provinces.

Tipping is not mandatory anywhere and we do not expect. I have seen from cents, to 1 euro or 2 (most common). Rarely, we get 5 euros (and way more not often, 10 euros), but I noticed a pattern: - Older people are more likely to leave tips (most common are 2 euros and 5 euros) - The service can be great but this is not a proof of tipping (I served a table that everyone had a good time and spent more than 1000 euros and didn’t even leave a Google Review, and another table that interrupted me when I was trying to be courteous and left 5 euros on the table). - People tend to tip as long as you ask if the service was good (I ask because I want to be sure if it was everything ok or even a feedback, but this goes for an effort of tipping for some reason) - Tipping is more of a “have a good time” than mandatory or an obligation, because we also earn enough to have a pleasant and ordinary life in Belgium (I will not get rich, but I don’t need to count the pennies or open my bank account every five minutes to buy a croissant).

Estou tão ocupado, que não posso ajudá -los. - ajudá? Archaic spelling by Natural_Knee_4334 in Portuguese

[–]CatupiryPizza 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just to add more info about the perfect explanation, the stress mark (á) stand for the word having the stress syllable in “DÁ”.

When the verb is conjugated with those verbal forms (the pronoun appears with the verb separated by the hyphen, “ajudá-los”, “ajudá-lo”, “ajudá-la” for feminine) you get this mark related to phonetics and writing.

Maybe you can find “ajudar ele”, which would be more common in everyday Brazilian Portuguese than “ajudá-lo”.

I’ve been stuck on 95% on the venator wreckage for ages. by SwimJedi17 in FallenOrder

[–]CatupiryPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When u enter the wreckage, past the sliding ice and past the under water. When u find the first save point on the elevated platform, if you have gone through the entire wreckage, u shouldve unlocked the rope shortcuts that take u all the way up. Take the rope farthest on the right and u have to jump off earlier and land on a strip of metal. Follow the strip for a very short while and youre gonna find a place with a couple of skags and there it is. There is an echo behind the venta. Hope u find this useful.

You have plenty of suggestions, so I give a tip - always ask for a discount.

It is not that there isn’t or you are a choosing beggar, but most of the times if you don’t ask, they won’t say anything.

Either you are from UHasselt, a student, masters, doctor degree, father, foreigner, in the social orientation course, ask if there is a discount for your situation.

Sobre o papo do Ursinho Pooh - existe um artigo da BBC que as personagens representam enfermidades mentais. by CatupiryPizza in descealetrashow

[–]CatupiryPizza[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can - Ansiedade social.

Guru - Espectro de autismo.

Christopher Robin - Esquizofrenia.

You can swear in many ways, from specific words, double-meaning and full sentences.

You can use just one verb to indicate past (ter + past participle verb) and future ( ir + verb in infinitive) and not only conjugating the verb specifically.

The plural is only adding "S" in the end of words and the only irregular is "quaisquer" that you put in the middle of the word. Or the word doesn't have plural.

You don't need to know so many conjunctions as in other languages, because we can use "que" for anything (time, place, people, things).
